Difficult decision for the best player the college game has had. Walton's 21-for-22 is a record that's not likely to be beaten, despite Laettner's effort.

This movie was greatly elevated by James Horner's incredible music. Sadly, today's movies no longer have melodic scores as every production now uses nothing but bland, generic music that does absolutely nothing to help tell the story.

I met Simon Pegg recently at a comic con and he said that Shaun of the Dead and Goodfellas had the same camera operator (David Dunlap) but depite this David didn’t film this particular scene nor did he film the king steady cam shot in Shaun of the Dead when Shaun walks to the shop

Yeah we droped 2 atomic bombs to innocent people and built our nation in the base of slavery ,but we don't faced and like to make up shittie stories about a game no one plays and keep us apart of the world , and we make up stories where we are decent...in the meanwhile we shoot us to dead because we are a bunch of obessed dumheads.

I fortunately grew up with the best Dad a young man could have! Taught me, loved me, and was proud of me. Baseball is somewhat magical. Sharing that magic between a Father and Son is even more magical!

Beamon's record (29' 2.25") stood for about 23 years until Mike Powell broke it in August, 1991. 23 years is a long time, but there are plenty of older sports records, like Williams batting .400, which is probably in the "Wilt 100" category. But here's the Beamonesque rub as I see it; yes, Powell broke Beamon's historic jump, but he did it by TWO INCHES, a record that still stands in 2024. (29' 4.25")
