I'm never for a player getting hurt. I remember cheering the hit when it happened because it was a good, fair, textbook hard sack. That said, Barkley taunted the entire UCLA football team and rubbed it in near game's end in 2009. That was not very "Christian" of Barkley. Barkley got laid out because karma is real.

As a USC fan, #70 Aundrey Walker should be embarrassed for leaving his QB out to dry like that. He doesn't even look at Anthony Barr and allows him to come in completely untouched for a free hit on Barkley. I have the utmost respect for Barr and think he was the best defensive player in the country last year, but not so much an exceptional display by Barr as it was USC's idiot of a left tackle completely missing his assignment. He had to have known he fucked up when he made 0 contact with any UCLA players. Barkley is lucky that this only resulted in a season-ending injury and not a career-ending one. Because a 6'5 250lbs that runs a 4.4 40 coming 100% speed at a QB is bound for disaster.

I was at the game and saw it coming. I was in the corner of the end zone and saw Barr lined up behind the end and I felt the hit 40 rows up. I am with you, but it was a solid, clean hit that is just part of the game and like you said, Barkley has been rubbing it in the Bruins' face for 2 years and it was just Karma time baby. He should have taken the money and ran last year.

Matt Barkley got hit hard in his 2012 season and had a shoulder separating injury. I was at this game and as fucked up as it sounds, as a Bruins fan we relish in this moment. One of my favorite SC/UCLA rivalry moments over the years. Guy should’ve gone pro instead of staying another year, could’ve messed with his potential in the NFL.
