Naná Vasconcelos, percussionist and voice in this song on soundtrack of the movie Fandango, died today March, 09th 2016. The cause was lung cancer. He was 71 years old. Rest in peace, Naná !! Esteja com o Altíssimo agora e muito obrigado.

James B has made an incorrect association. Fandango will be a nostalgic movie even without considering this song, but this song stood on its own before the movie.

@@ace19428 fandango made this music special to me. even if it stood on its own previously, to me, a connection was made at the impromptu wedding in west texas... not far from my home. i also play jazz and own a pat metheny signature model PM2-AA. i've always been a PM fan, but the MOVIE brought this song to me in an unbelievable scene... like the ending of "castaway", it is a gut-wrenching, love lost moment brought to life. pat makes it somehow bearable in fandango. :)
