Instantly nostalgic. Fandango remains a much-loved film because of this.

This song is instantly nostalgic because of Fandango.
@ace194287 жыл бұрын
James B has made an incorrect association. Fandango will be a nostalgic movie even without considering this song, but this song stood on its own before the movie.
@nonenone38987 жыл бұрын
Sorry guy the association is correct. but I agree both formats of art stand alone, but together...sparks fly. As the movie says "its just sooo neat"

@@ace19428 fandango made this music special to me. even if it stood on its own previously, to me, a connection was made at the impromptu wedding in west texas... not far from my home. i also play jazz and own a pat metheny signature model PM2-AA. i've always been a PM fan, but the MOVIE brought this song to me in an unbelievable scene... like the ending of "castaway", it is a gut-wrenching, love lost moment brought to life. pat makes it somehow bearable in fandango. :)

There were a few of Metheny's songs in Fandango (September 15 and Farmer's Trust). This song was just so perfect though.

Pat Metheny, daqui 100 anos será reverenciado como Bach, Chopin são hoje... por suas melodias perfeitas e "obviedade" das notas, perfeitamente colocadas em cada música. São equações numéricas, séries f(x) dignas de tese de doutorado.

Oh my dear heavens, another "It's For You"! Thank you!!! The only three I knew previous were Montreal Jazz Fest, AFWSFWF, and a sound check at Ontario Place I just happened to stumble upon in my Paaat-thusiasm, so glad I did! Nevertheless, this version is fantastic and I'm so glad you posted!!! One time, in Algonquin Park, I watched the mists come in to Artists' Bay while the sun rose, and it's remained my favourite song ever since...
