One of the best discussions on the development and progress of this country and some brilliant ideas but the application of those ideas is a big qualification: we have both rich Human Resources and natural resources and yet ; how to use them for their maximum potentials : this has to be done collaborating collectively with all stakeholders: schools, colleges, universities, civil servants/ policymakers and leadership must work collectively to do this : we need to dramatically change our teaching and learning methods both in schools , colleges and universities: our education is outdated and our education is not links to economic growth, development and innovations : how many innovations or inventions our colleges / schools or universities or companies do? Consider some of humanities subjects ? They don’t have any collection or links to our economic growth: today education is a business or commercial enterprise: we send 2 million people to ME as house wives / drivers or for some odd jobs : instead if we professionals such as nurses /teachers or any other technical professionals how much income we can create ? Who’s is responsibility to enrich our Human Resources? These ideas can be implemented primarily by the government policymakers: private sectors can play a big role but our leaders must have mission and vision to implement all those ideas : we can do it but it be should be gradually: now these ideas in their early stages or initial stages: we should take these ideas into the hearts and minds of all Sri Lanka through our government departments : we need think how to take these ideas forward gradually :
Thanks , to efforts & endurance of present President, not giving up & trying to get the country people back on track . Dubai government build Dry Dockyard, where as Sri Lanka had much before that. Now they are much ahead & here we are still crawling.

One of my friends LALANI who is in Florida has gone to this place for a retreat recently. She said how this place is organized for meditation. If I get a chance I will definitely go. Theruwan Saranai

Stop alcohol shops. Then save the liver. Stop the sugary food. Then save diabetics. Water is the problem to save the kidneys. 1984 was a reaserch done in the USA found out Sri Lankan 98% healthier than American children eating rice leaves dhal and dry fish. Though we live in the states we follow that with our children. Not dry fish but freash fish.
