I think the rubber rain guard that runs along the bottom of the window comes loose and hangs down, and doesn't fit into the slot where it should when it closes. That causes the window to bind with a twisting pressure when the motor pulls the window closed... that pressure pops the glue loose on the hinge! Both of mine have done that. If caught ahead, the rubber could be glued, and save yourself the hassle of repairs!
@GreenAcres581Ай бұрын
That's possible. In my case the window had sagged so it was not closing square in the opening and that caused the problem. I think the whole setup is hoaky, it's not really a hinge, it's just a piece of metal that flexes over and over. So there's a lot of loading on the whole joint every time you use the window.

I just came across your mini-split condenser bracket build. I saw another video and was inspired to do the same as I wasn’t impressed with the brackets you can buy. I found some 45 degree corner braces on Amazon and used those supports to tie the top channel into the channel attached to the wall. 👍👍👍

Thanks for posting this. I've had a drip leak in one of my rear axle seals for years, and I've spent countless hours looking for a video or some sort of description specific to the B2710 with no luck. I've not tackled a job like this before, and had I not seen this video I think I'd be looking at significant problems that I couldn't gather from a schematic of the parts, other videos for similar Kubota models, and who knows what else once I dove in. Now, seeing all the tips and tricks you used I'm left still pondering whether to tackle these seal. Hmmm...I'm still inclined to do the work given how far away a dealer or other qualified repair shop is from me. And, there's a little bit of pride involved -- given I've never had this tractor off the property for service since I bought it new in '99. Thanks, again.
@GreenAcres5817 ай бұрын
I'd always lean toward doing the work yourself, nobody cares as much about your stuff as you do. So the dealer may have more experience and tools, but you'll still end up with a better job. Even if you screw up a couple sets of seals, you'll still save hundreds overall on the labor cost. I think I caused the leak on mine, I had to take that axle out a few years ago for a different reason and the guy who helped me put the case back on was really big and strong but had little mechanical experience. So I'm pretty sure he damaged the seal sliding the case back on. That's why I came up with the idea to use the floor jack.

@@GreenAcres581 Thank you. Can recall any details about removing and reinstalling the differential lock pieces other than the cog alignment you describe and illustrate very well? I can't tell from a service manual or from your videos how the pieces are held in place on that mechanism.
@GreenAcres5817 ай бұрын
If you look at 3:25 in the video, the part I assume you're talking about is at the top of the case still slid onto the spline. As I recall that's just one piece: the cog and that offset looking arm. The cog and that offset looking thing slide off the spline. Maybe they're two pieces, not sure. The top of that offset arm slides onto the smooth shaft that's part of the case. If you wanted to remove the diff gear, you'd have to drive it out of the bearing that holds it in the case.
@jeffrywhite97337 ай бұрын
@@GreenAcres581 Thank you. I was referring to that part, and it's focused upon in the video at 8:30 when you mention aligning the cogged piece. I was wondering how that is remove from the case, if it needs to be removed at all.

This video was a big help during the emotional rollercoaster that was replacing our Toyota Sienna 2009's switch cover. Tip to anyone dealing with a switch unit that isn't coming out easily: try working the head of a large nail around the back edge of the unit to help pry it out.

Can you tell me why you didn’t use the vacuum feature of these types of vacuum/blower machines. I’m considering just using a garden vacuum for horse poo. Would love to see the underside of your machine to see what filters your using. Brilliant video mate..
@GreenAcres581 Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the long delay, I'm not much of a youtuber. There is no vacuum feature on a backpack leaf blower. You'd have to use some kind of shop vac to have that feature, and I don't think it would have enough airflow, plus it's electric, so not useful out in the pasture. The first video shows the underside and the filter. I switched from using screen material to 1/2" hardware cloth. It never plugs up and allows more air to flow through.

I'd like to know more about how the intake for the blower interfaces with the plywood. Specifically, how you got it sealed up.
@GreenAcres581 Жыл бұрын
Sorry for long delay, I don't keep up with youtube very well. The blower normally attaches to the backpack frame with 4 bolts. I made a plywood ring the right thickness and diameter to act as a spacer between the face of the blower and the plywood top. I think every blower will be different, you'll have to find the right size and thickness that works.

Using the STIHL BR500, I've managed to make a very similar device to yours, using plywood board on a Erde galvanised steel trailer which I air sealed using silicone, pulled by a quad, it's like a mini version of a trafalgar for under £400 (including the trailer and blower). Appreciate the inspiration on the design. I've used 125mm tubing, I'm trying to work out a good way to secure it to the trailer like a holder but don't know what to use and I am trying to look for a handle for the pvc but not too sure what to search for. Also with the tipping of the trailer, I was hoping to adapt it to maybe make it hinge up like a car bonnet from the far side of the trailer so I don't have to take it on and off when typing out the manure? any suggestions?
@GreenAcres581 Жыл бұрын
Sorry it's so long, I don't follow my own posts. For handles on my pvc pipe I got two handles that you'd use on top of a heavy toolbox and attached them with large hose clamps around the PVC. I would have liked to come up with a way to unload the trailer, but I couldn't come up with anything that made it too heavy to push by hand. This newer version I made has a top that's light enough it's easy to take off and set on the ground. It no longer has that plywood plenum and the blower is smaller, so it's not too hard to handle.

What cfm was your blower pushing?
@GreenAcres5814 жыл бұрын
I think this first version with the stihl was rated at 650cfm, but I could only run it at or just above idle or it pulverized the manure and pushed it out the exhaust like dust. The replacement engine uses an echo blower rated at 517cfm, and I run that at about 20-30% throttle. The wetter the manure, the higher the cfm you can use without turning everything into dust. The best time to vacuum is about a day or two after rain so the manure is still damp but not heavy wet. How much cfm you need is also dependent on how well sealed your enclosure is. If you have a lot of air leaks, you'll have to run the thing faster.
@richardmang25584 жыл бұрын
I like your invention! I also have the same Rubbermaid wheelbarrow, it is well balanced and easy to pull and maneuver with one hand. I am looking to vacuum up mulch (delivered by the tree trimmer company) and then spread the mulch around my trees and bushes. This might work as long as the mulch is shredded fine enough and does not have long twigs in it.
@GreenAcres5814 жыл бұрын
You'll have to play around with engine speed and maybe using some kind of filter, like hardware cloth. If I run the engine too fast it turns the manure into powder and blows it all back out. You might have to put hardware cloth over the impeller to keep it from blowing the finer mulch out the exhaust.

I will keep filtration in mind. Thanks! :)

HI! did you make an other version?
@GreenAcres5816 жыл бұрын
Yes I did, the engine on this blower siezed. The engine requires 89 octane or higher fuel but I never saw that requirement, so that's probably why it overheated and siezed. This style engine has a bit of a reputation for that problem. Anyway I got a plain old 2 cycle echo leaf blower and mounted it different, and used different material for intake hose which is a big improvement. I'll try to get video and post an update.
