The Bad 1. Blower Design - can agree, but there are 3D printed options that port the dust collection top-ward with modifications. You can then add a 4" dust collection option. Just how to improve upon this. 2. Blower Adapter (?) - see point 1, mod. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp6mon1tntN7ipY <-- one video of many, search Dewalt D735 top dust collection mod) 3. Knives - Yup .. would agree. I WOULD recommend the helix head. These will last about 10x longer.

One fail you forgot to mention: that laminate. You don't want a slippery top on drill press table. On a router table that would have been nice.
@jamesvanzandt789817 күн бұрын
The laminate is certainly attractive, and is a good choice for a router, bandsaw, or table saw, because it's easy to slide the workpiece over it. However, for a drill press, you do NOT want the workpiece sliding around. I'd stay with polyurethane for both the table and the fence.

*Or* you could just use the correct system of measurement, like the rest of the world. Except for Liberia and Myanmar. For clarity, Myanmar is in the process of transitioning to the metric system.

Sanding deeper will not reduce the glue but expose more of it!!!

How to get rid of glue marks in veneer? Never use veneer thinner than 1mm, especially not figured ones as most have harder and softer regions which also vary in absorption rate, which makes dying even thick boards more challenging as it often takes dye blotchy by nature. Use a proper wood glue too, and don't use too much, which you can get used to gauging based on how much squeeze out you get. A lot of squeeze out will cost you over time in glue and paper or shop towels, and waste precious resources. That instrument were better off with a lacquer spray job, which is much more difficult to do in order to get a good fade and the colors distributed as desired.

I bought the $10 ones from Harbor freight. I’ve never used any, my first pair. I’m going to use for ordering bike parts online. Some of these parts come in a variety of sizes, so I’m not using them to build anything or make precise cuts or whatever. e.g. choosing between 26.4 or 27mm.

Can't believe I'm going to buy an $600 planer for construction lumber, LOL. I'm loving the 735 based on all the positive videos. I'm kidding about 2x4's. That is only it's first job to plane the rough lumber for my benches. Eventually, it will get the $555 upgrade Wink wink. Hardwood work is down the road. Just setting up shop and I hate ugly lumber. The savings of buying crap lumber to build a bench, and plane it, will pay for the DW! Not sure folks even think about that! You don't need HARDWOOD to build your bench and still have it look great! Of course, don't build real furniture with studs, LOL. Although.... why not? hmmm... Thanks for another vote for the DW! So excited! Truly, a great choice for basement shop!

Get a piece of cardboard measure how far apart your holes are on the guitar body mimic where those positions are on the piece of cardboard push your pots through the cardboard then just wire up the back sides pop them out of the cardboard and they're ready to go into the guitar body and then all you need to do is make the one connection and you're done that way you don't have to try to solder your pots inside of the guitar body

There are alternatives to using water as your sanding lubricant, such as naptha or GooGone cleaning spray they don't expand the wood if they get into holes.

Thinking about possibly making my own drum sticks from wood lying in the yard (dried out obviously). I'm thinking Dowel Rod making is a big step. Shaping them afterwards will need to be thought out later. But making dowel rods is a good start I think! Thanks for this!!!
