I don’t particularly like the ‘mono wheel’ thing going on, and it doesn’t look particularly pleasant to he honest. The tri wheel version looks 😯 amazing. At an airfield near me there was a Europa with a tailwheel, unfortunately it crashed two years ago : (

Yeah but.........the tri-gear sits up a lot higher on its trailer and may not fit in some garages because of this. Also I believe the tri-gear trailer is a larger double axle trailer as well.

I love the bit that says "the instrument panel is premoulded and JUST needs fitting with instruments" easy peasy ....I have the original video tape from way back and purchased a Europa this year

My copy of this VHS tape dates back to circa 1995. Converted my Classic to tri-gear in early 2013, after flying as a mono for 16 years.

Yup been done by several builders; also some shops in USA assisting there... Look for Europa-List on matronics forum; oodles of info in the archive and still quite lively forum.

for a trigear with wheel pants, you shouild expect a 5 knots penalty at cruise speed. Search for Europa aircraft trigear performance.

I have personnally just acquired an Europa monowheel, and wanted to share this video with my friends, to brief them on this great aircraft. I found this VHS tape in storage, dating back to 2000. I feel this is a great explanation of the Europa concept.

I've been flying the Europa XS Monowheel for 7 years now and never looked back. I bought mine finnished and the guy who build it used 9 years and almost 3000 on it. I love taking my Europa out and everyone who sees it for the first time stops and have many questions on the configuration :) Mine is seriel nr 334 and has a 914 with the Airmaster constant speed prop. Cruising at 120kts IAS at 28MP burning less than 15 l/h. Love it :) How is yours coming Luc?
