Glad somebody is as fascinated with them as I am) I'm sort of an old metalhead, but they grabbed my attention completely. Like they are all that I love in power metal all in one plus amazing visuals. Please do more reactions on this band!

Al ~ You legitimately know music and are reacting at the same level to what the musicians together are performing. European metal artists should be more popular in Europe and the US than they are, but until a shift in recognition occurs, simply put, there is more of these gifts for you and I to enjoy exclusively. Nicoletta has unlocked the Italio-Etrusci Empire with her amazing voice and it is a joyful thing. Thank you for being out on the leading edge of reactions where sumptuous metal creations in music art can be more deeply appreciated and achievements truly recognized.

Nice review, I'm always happy to see more people talking about and reacting to Frozen Crown. They're one of my favorite bands, I first discovered them in early 2021 and I've been a huge fan ever since. Legion is definitely one of my favorite tracks from this album. But my most favorite song would have to be the title track Call of the North.

Visions of atlantis, epic, pirate, synthetic metal musical, movie Yes!!! It wouldn't even be the first time I've seen something built around an album (the film sunshine on leith and the show flight of the concords are two examples) you could definitely do a cool story with their songs or just a whole load of new songs, although I'd want a few old one thrown in for the fan service. There's a couple of other bands from the recold label that could probably join the fun as well with pirate themed songs, like powerwolf with their song sinners of the seven seas (which was the first to come to m8nd, very different music).

Not surprised. I’ll have to take another look at it in depth to catch on to that interpretation, but I can definitely see points to it in the images that lean that way. Thanks for the pointer; I appreciate the acknowledgement. :-)

The Grey is actually part of a trilogy of songs by the band which share DNA in several ways. the other two are The Black (2020) & The White (2022). all three are banger songs. my favorite is The White... 🤘🏻

Dianne, thank you so much for sharing your music and talents with all of us. I can only speak for myself of course (but judging by the feedback and joy I see with other fans of yours in the social media/commentary space, we’re all on similar pages); you have a beautiful gift, and it’s such an honor to be able to share in experiencing your vision, vocal awe and stories of self empowerment and resiliency with others (fans and new listeners alike). These 3 pieces were and are instantly memorable, favorites I return to over and over. I’m sure Flameborn will be the same. SOOO excited for that!!

Excited for you; I’m sure you’re going to love it. Similar story; they (alongside several other bands) were my grounding during my teenage years. I think often about how much bands like DH have done for me just through their music, and I’ve been hoping to see them myself one day in person. Hopefully, that happens soon.

Interesting. We might be in different spheres geographically (you in Brazil, I in America), but we feel very similar experiences. I’ve tried for YEARS to find people face to face that share similar interests in the music I love. I’ve met a few DH fans over the years as an example, but that number is drastically limited. However, your comment has increased that pool by 1. lol (and a few other commenters here, I have to add in as well). That’s in part why I made this platform into what it has become - a nexus point for many of us metal and rock lovers, wherever we are, to come together and share in our interests (and maybe discover new favorites as well)

It's so nice to see how you enjoy this music and that you discovered dArtagnan through your channel! This is definitely one of those bands that deserve much more attention! Although here in Germany they are quite known at least if you are into this whole medieval/folk scene. I know that some people already mentioned it but you definitely need to check out Saltatio Mortis. They released a song some months ago called "Finsterwacht" and it's featured by Blind Guardian that you may already know. They even released a full english version of the song and the video. But I highly recommend to first check out the German version. It is a freakin masterpiece, the song, the sound and the video is like watching a fantasy movie. You need to check this out! ;) Also dArtagnan released a new album! Check out "Herzblut" featuring Melissa Bonny! ;) Keep up the good work and have fun with this beautiful music!

Hey man! I thoroughly enjoyed your videos on Dead by April, especially the analysis/review part of the videos. I was wondering if I could make a song reaction request? The song in question is “Brush it Off” by Plan Three, they’re an alternative rock band from Sweden. It’s a slower ballad and is probably a little different than most of the songs you cover on this channel but I would love to hear your thoughts on the song🙏🏻

The breakdown here sounds very nightwish / new xandria, i love it. Overall I think this album is even better and more mature than Pirates but that might be recency bias, not sure. Only time will tell. But definitely a contender for my favourite album of the year along with Imminence - The Black (Metalcore with violins, highly recommend if that sounds interesting) and the new Seven Spires (to my surprise, since i always found it hard to connect with their music). Really enjoyed watching your journey through this record!
