I grew up being told bluegill and other small sunfish are called perch. Then I went to Wisconsin and actually caught perch. Not the same. 😂😂

Great info. Do you have any insight on what was the cause of the big carp die off approx 15 years ago on Simcoe? It was only one particular summer. There were dead carp everywhere. I heard it is a cyclical thing

Out if all the av822 videos on KZbin this is by far the clearest. I was just watching a video a couple guys ice fishing with it and the footage was very green. Yours looks so much better. At 2:06 mark its so clear i would have thought it was 4k footage!
@timeonthewaterca
@timeonthewaterca 7 ай бұрын
That video was taken on Georgian Bay, which is very clear. Plus, if their video is recording green, you can just add red when you edit.
@joshkliniske6766
@joshkliniske6766 7 ай бұрын
@timeonthewaterca good to know. Did you edit in red on these videos? I have the AV Revolution 5" HD and have pretty clear water. Depending on the depths but usually the first 10-15' are similar to you footage and then they turn green deeper I go. I'm just debating on if I want to pickup a 822 or not.
@timeonthewaterca
@timeonthewaterca 7 ай бұрын
Unlike the HD 10i, the camera doesn't have color correction for viewing. When you record, you get what you see. As for depths, red or that light spectrum disappears after 10 to 15 ft. If you want natural color you have to add the red back again.

I find it very interesting how imperial for your measurements but metric for your temp bud , pick a side ! Jk keep your stick on the ice :)
@timeonthewaterca
@timeonthewaterca 7 ай бұрын
That's true. But it primarily gets viewed by a Canadian audience, and everything to do with fishing is still imperial, and temps are metric.
