@@timeonthewaterca Every step could be less and less ice. I was shocked to find only 5" of ice less than a kilometer off Sibbald Point.

From Woodlawn out about a klm. and a half, ice is 8.5 inches. This is the north end of Simcoe past the pressure crack.

Thanks John for the great video! I was out there this morning between the 7th and 9th on snowshoes and there was definitely some slushy areas still beneath the snow.

When I drilled there was an inch of water by the time I measured. It's going to be a mess out there
