Not only do people overlook the cost but they also overlook the usability. There are very few circumstances where you can fully put down 800 rwhp on the street

@Brenspeedengineering do you agree with a lot of peoples opinions that that McLeod RST chatters quite a bit especially at low rpms? I was considering it but for those reasons. How would you compare a Centerforce?
@Analyzer5212 сағат бұрын
I have the RST, don't notice it chattering.
@BrenspeedEngineering2 сағат бұрын
I only use RST or RXT. RXT on 18+ supercharged cars. RST on 3V. I have the RST on my 3V. I cant hear mine chattering BUT I do know what you re referring to. If you drive at really low rpm and lug it you may here the two disks rattle together as it is a twin disk. You pretty much have to lug it at low rpm to get it to do it but I don't cruise around in 4th at 1300 rpm lugging it if you know what I mean.
@sdfth49116 сағат бұрын
what other mods do you recommend when getting a stage 1 whipple?
@BrenspeedEngineering2 сағат бұрын
On all coyote supercharged if the money is available rear cylinder head cooling kit is a good mod. I like headers. Carbon Fiber drive shaft adds rwhp as well as safety and reliability. The stage 2 is a better option as you get the larger throttle body and higher RPM tune. BUT the stage 1 is super fast out of the box.

Sorry thats not the case. A 427R makes 360 rwhp if your lucky on a dynojet SAE. Been dyno and building Roush cars since they came out and raced for them under a sponsorship for many years. why dont you just pulley down? they do sell them for these
@BrenspeedEngineeringСағат бұрын
I wouldnt pulley down a non HO beyond the 3.8 it comes with as the more boost the more heat. The HO upgrades come with a 3.6, and you could go 3.4 like a Paxton 2200 comes with as long as you have an intercooler upgrade. No real reason to go smaller than a 3.4 because at that point you start to hit torque limits of the engine, peg the MAF so you need to do something with that, and possibly larger injectors depending on which ones you are currently running.

I have a s650 premium performance package with carbon filters removed K&N filters and Kooks cat back H pipe 3”. If I go with the stage 1 warranty package do you recommend the oil pump drive gear upgrade? Or does the 3 year 36,000 take care of it in case of failure. Thanks.

I think it’s this one it looks just like this… the dealer that sold it to me was not a ford dealer… it had 20,000 miles on it… so I had to buy it!! I also have the Roush badge in the front grill… just trying to learn more about my car… I would’ve loved it without the supercharger, but I’m not complaining

Do these 3v4.6 engines have the same timing issues the 5.4s had/have?
@BrenspeedEngineering23 сағат бұрын
Typically no. Most of the 5.4L truck issues are due to they are not maintained like a Mustang engine. Almost every 5.4L truck engine we open up looks like the oil was changed every 10,000 miles. Almost no Mustang engine looks like that because almost no mustang owner ignores maintenance like a large amount of F150 owners do.

I'm a classic 05-08 kinda guy, but I do have to admit, the 24 is sexy. Coyote question, do you have to watch the torque for reliability? I know the sweet spot on the 3 valve is around 450.
@kennetho53935 күн бұрын
From what I've read, first gen Coyote keep it around 600 lb-ft at most. Second and third gens don't seem to have any real limits with typical kits and even stage 3 setups. I'm guessing gen 4 Coyote is just as good.
@BrenspeedEngineering4 күн бұрын
Well gen 1, 2, 3, and now 4 are all a bit different. I will say on the Gen 3 we have turned them up to over 1000 rwhp without engine issues. pretty crazy. Gen 1 is not near as strong FYI.

@@kennetho5393s650 is locked down and you can't do e85 tunes so you'll never push it far enough with the tuning they have to even worry about it. Coyotes don't make torque anyways so its not a concert you gotta be over 1000 wheel to see 700 or so.

I'm kind of tapped out at the moment and about to make my last child support payment but buying my son his first car soon, so likely it will be next year for a rear axle rebuild and can at least drive it till then.
