I have wondered if the plastic intake tubes have any issue with static electricity build up in them to cause any mis-reads on the MAF on high humidity days?
@BrenspeedEngineeringКүн бұрын
Not that I have ever seen in my life. OEM air boxes that have MAFs in them are plastic.

Whipple stage 1 allows warranty; doesn’t the install of headers void the warranty? Not sure if that is still a thing. Regardless, awesome build.
@BrenspeedEngineering6 күн бұрын
Yes if you tell Whipple you have headers = no warranty. The warranty from pretty much every company is a kit installed on a stock car.

I dont think that is correct. I believe we may have to do some trimming to keep them but we do not remove them.

Great channel with common-sense info. I've listened to a lot of BS about huge lift, long duration, etc, etc.....which gives you only misery on the street. I've built engines for both the strip and the street. In actuality the overlap of those engines is not as easy to obtain as many people think. This fella tells it as it is.

I just totaled my 08 Mustang GT Convertible(idiot made a left turn in front of me) and replaced it with a cherry 05 with a Vortech, 5 speed and full exhaust. I absolutely love it! But I sent the supercharger up to Vortech to rebuild because it was a little loud and had a lot of miles since install back in 06. Tested at 420hp at the wheel way back when). Can't wait to get it back.

Thanks for the video. I was thinking about buying my neighbor's stock 05 and taking it to 500hp, but I realized that building it was going to be at least a $20k project without wheels and tires and this confirms that. I'll put some money in my cummins instead and enjoy the truck.

What gear was the pull done in ???
@BrenspeedEngineering6 күн бұрын
Depending on when the truck hits the speed limiter based off the set up we do them in 4th, 5th, or 6th. Just depends on the set up and I can't remember what this one was in. Some we have to do 4th or the RPM's will not go up very high. Obviously 7th is the 1 to 1 but that does not typically work on the dyno with the limiters vs the RPM you are looking for.
