16:52 ngl i watched carry on with my parents and, while it was a fun action movie, didn’t seem to integrate christmas into the airport setting as well as die hard does. So while it’s technically a christmas movie set in christmas, i would say it doesn’t FEEL like a Christmas movie to me as much as Die Hard. So I feel that execution and implementation of Christmas-y-ness is important to any movie set in Christmas

All I can think about while listening to this song is “BEYOOOO!”, “VILMERRR!!!”, and a bomb ass Tusken Raider impression. 😂

I grew up less than 300 yards from that place on Diamond Rd. I was born in 1966. That place was Old Dixie Elementary School until about 1976 or 77 timeframe. While it was open we had little league practice on the ball field there. After it closed my friends and I used to squeeze through the gate and hang out in there, ride our bikes and climb through the rafters in the courtyard. We also would ride dirt bikes around the field and school. In high school we once took an old car hood and took turns being pulled around the field behind a truck. Lots of memories there.

I know a lot of people dislike the sibling storyline but I think that would’ve made the most sense in 2018. Him escaping and finding Laurie 40 years later, the reason being that he wants to still kill his sister would’ve been better than Dr. Sartain being the cause, and also better than us finding out that Micheal doesn’t care about Laurie at all.

The originals costumes are actually REALLY good interrpretations of the orignal Oz illustrations by denson while return perfectly copy’s to the creepy degree you see here John R. Neill’s illustration (my favorite and they’re creepy also hell). This was mostly for copyright reasons but the atmosphere of return in overall doom and gloom on account of the post apocalyptic setting

The Wizard of Oz is a good movie, but it was unsettling to watch as a kid. Everything seemed like a nightmare to me. A witch after you, munchkins in weird outfits and makeup!! Was ok w/ the flying monkeys lol

I couldn’t agree with you more about this version of Michael. I think what makes it most effective though is the mask. Halloween for is one of my all-time favorite Halloween films. As a matter fact, it’s my second favorite. But the mask doesn’t look the greatest. I don’t have a huge issue with it like everyone else does but it’s a bit off. I don’t hate the mask in five either. There are some shots in that film where it looks really good. But they nailed the mask perfectly in six and it really helps to elevate the performance.

The truth is, the dimensions of the house make no difference. The quality of the film is what matters. Halloween 5 is brilliant. Thus, I can overlook the inconsistency of the house. Resurrection was weaker, and because of that, the closer similarity with the house didn't matter...

I believe he wore it to frame Tommy, because people knew what Tommy has been through, so if witnesses saw "Jason" killing people, Tommy would be the first suspect. Especially because he has the ability to make masks too. Just my take on the matter.

The director has been quoted stating that the deviation in morphology of this Yautja with respect to the individuals in the earlier movies can be attributed to racial variation within their species. The Yautja in Prey is supposed to hail from a different hemisphere of their home planet. Basically, it's a different ethnicity than the Yautja in the first few movies.
