Had it on PS5. The low resolution in performance mode made the game very hard to enjoy. Hoping the PC version is better in that regard.

Great decision to push it this out, thanks! Might be due to low ps5 sales. Many of us won't buy a new console for every episode.

This game coming from a guy who played the original i'm in gongaga now.....not finished!!! is boring all you do is go from a to b to c.... open world is better than in empty 15 but it's very boring/time consuming/annoying chadley has more voicelines than all main characters. There is no story.....ok barret got one and tifa after she went into the water/lifestream. Not saying the game is bad it's 6.5/10, remake was way better. I get why there is no story, costa del sol was in original 3-4 screens but i just played 4 hours and all characters said no meaningful thing just smalltalk all game. Mini games are VERY cool but i wished the REMAKE ended the REMAKE and there was a whole NEW game, NEW story here but its not. I buyed a PS5 for this but i believe it would have been playable on ps4 100%. Have not finished, if the game gets better i will delete this maybe, but i hope some1 important reads this and part 3 will be something NEW with story. And Yakuza 8 and FF7 should change battlesystems.... Yakuza 8 has better story than FF7.....i feel dumb saying this Y8 better game 9.5/10 Kiryu singing karaoke got me more than 65 hours of FF7,

70 dollar kingdom hearts interactive movie with FF7 characters is a no from me dawg. Played remake and it was just boring. Very pretty, sometimes fun, but overwhelmingly boring.

I liked this game a lot, but the myriad of atrocious mini-games and overall open-world design put it to a screeching halt for me about 60 - 65 hours in and it almost took the entire year for me to finally gain motivation to see the rest through. I played 60 to 65 hours without playing much else, then quit only to play a couple of hours on and off throughout the year until going back (in October I think?) I liked the combat, the characters are good, I liked seeing the world from a window-dressing perspective (just not some of the stuff you do in it), and the soundtrack is nearly flawless, which is a rarity. It's simultaneously one the the best remakes ever made, and yet one with some annoying aspects that bring it down. Oh, and I didn't mention visuals: I played it in the quality, 30fps mode. I do prefer 60fps, but the performance mode looked terrible, as has been the case for many games within the past couple of years, at least to me.

The game design (mini game galore, unbalanced brutal/legendary vr battles) takes away the joy of being a completionist……….

I’m halfway through hard mode and the boss fights are absolutely eye melting. Also what I love about this game is it takes SUBSTANTIALLY more strategy than FF16. I lost against Jenova 3 times last night and now I’m back to grinding and rethinking my approach.
