@@sara.cbc92well I’m neutral about the narrative of the story comparing both OG and Remake, For me it’s Amazing to achieving that gameplay exceeded our expectations though and any some scenes that really stood out the most with a new twists and stuff. Well can’t wait to see on Final Part which Part 3 😊

Great games! Its just, it felt like they made part 1 like an sequel when they added kadaj and the others in that ending. I'm glad they kinda went back on track for this "remake" in rebirth. But then they just keep on proving my point towards the end with the multiverse stuff that its a sequel to og -> advent children -> dirge of cerberus -> RE trilogy

@@sara.cbc92 I could write an essay about why I think the FF7R trilogy is a masterpiece, but I'm not here to convince you or have a debate. For me it's the overall package - the story, the music, the combat, the characters, the design, the minigames [...]. FF7 was my first Final Fantasy and my first RPG back in 1997 and to this day my favourite game of all time. It had a huge impact on me. I understand that change can be a little off-putting for those who grew up playing the OG and have a lot of sentimental value attached to its story, but the original is still there and nobody will ever take the game or the memories away from you. I, along with so many others, especially in the newer generation of players, will remember this experience forever, just like people remembered their experience playing the OG back in 1997. My personal opinion is I genuinely appreciate the additions they made. Because it did not change the core of the story or the characters... and without them, I wouldn't have been able to play through this game with the same curiosity and wonder that I did back then.

I just finished reading Final Fantasy VII Remake: Traces of Two Pasts Novel, and it really touched me. Tifa's story, both in the game and in the real-life context, was so poignant. And Aerith's story was just adorable! It was truly an experience to savor. Thank you for sharing this journey!

*Title post:"It is said that No amazing technology or visuals can EVER replace a good story telling and content."* That we must understand that same concept even today. For example Preachily saying this: That in the past even though we have only have the tiniest visuals like pixel characters what made us love the game itself was its vibrant and amazing story telling and the content. It felt so concentrated. NOW compare that today WE HAVE ALL the amazing visual but the amazing quality of story seems to have thinned out. Story like Saiken Densetsu, FF3 pixel, crono trigger. Do you get it? Those where the times right? THE STORY etc. overwhelmed us! It felt so grand and beautiful. But its not impossible to combine both amazing technology and visuals even with great story telling. So if we ever need some "inspiration" we shouldnt only look into the future. But we should also LOOK into the past. What we can learn from our classical counterpart is still abundant and amazing to this date.

Fully agree with Itoss says here. Climax and Finale: To be honest. You can always talk and co ordinate on the issue. But just a reddit person written. Really recommend that you if you really want to top FFRemake/Rebirth to last unknown "FF7R????" is try think of it as powerful loop. And just make ending happy and simple. If you try to hard it might look "forced" in some way. But if you make it 'simple and natural' happy ending. *Then that itself already serve from start of FF7Remake appetizer, then the Main course FF7Rebirth and as an amazing finale FF7R a very beautiful ending'dessert'.* That final dessert creates that amazing spectrum of flavors we all become so happy about after all work of the trilogy.

It does not mean “game I didn’t personally like.” It means “generic and bad.” This game is one of the highest reviewed games of the year both critically and by fans. It is probably winning game of the year. So, “mediocre” is a bad faith characterization. It also isn’t a “hack and slash.” It is a command based action game. this isn’t DMC. You also know different teams create dragon quest and their other turn based games right? This is like asking why isn’t there ice cream in the cereal aisle. We need to put some positive 'contribution' and make world a little bit more happy and positive. Enough with tragedy. From c*vid times to Gaza and war in Ukraine. Truly expected that Aerith wouldnt die this time around in this 'possible' universe. Yet you made ANOTHER but same tragedy served to us with heavy tears. Havent you already made it "moving enough" with another Aerith d*ath scene on FF7Rebirth? How will this end? Yes we wonder like a horrible game of throne style again? Yes we know you want to create even "higher lvl" of what FF7remake and FF7rebith did. But sometimes you go overboard and overthink to much and cant see the clear and simple picture. Of understand the back to basic and or out if the box. Enough with tragedy or sadness. MAKE a HAPPY but very creative ending. Period! Thats all we need. Thanks for your time.

The core themes of FF7 are loss, managing loss and trauma, and accepting the self. It's not a happy story and was never meant to be. Even the original ending of the game was bittersweet at best. I agree with the earlier comment. If you want a happy ending, go watch some generic Disney princess fairytale that doesn't require much reflection.

I do get some mixed messages from these FF7R games though... I'll respect their decision to write the story how they desire but it does seem a tad manipulative to have these notions that these characters can overcome fate then...nope- were going to have verbatim the exact same outcome of the original plot as seen in Final Fantasy 7 (1997). It's a very strange decision if they decide Aerith will stay dead because Red pointed out in Final Fantasy 7 Remake the moment seen with him running alongside with his puppies wasn't an ideal outcome, it's what'll occur if they 'fail' so that has to suggest other aspects have to change too so they won't get that outcome right? It's not that much of a stretch to make Aerith live this time, at least I think so. We will see. At least if anything Cloud seems to have Aerith around in some capacity so I'm just happy to see future moments with her even if it's all in Cloud's head or whatever the truth is. And y'all are correct, this game handles loss but it also addresses.. environmental issues, abandonment issues, mental health issues, corporate greed, I could go on and go. Loss is just apart of the FF7 patchwork story quilt but it's not the only message I see within this story. The original game will always exist but I will personally be a tad disgruntled if they kill Aerith again because I truly felt these developers wanted to dapple with new concepts and unexpected stuff. In Final Fantasy 7 Remake, at the near end of the game Cloud floating all around all this roadside debris and the camera literally showed a train coming off it rails, that's what I want.. let's stay 80% true to the original story but do something wild and uplifting at the very end.. that would be neat.

This FF7R series of games has the same characters, the same music, the same landscapes, it's nearly identical to the original with just a few new additions sprinkled throughout so returning fans familiar with the OG events have something to keep them coming back. They retained the same silly elements and the serious parts too. What I think has happened is the writers have aged and because the time period is different then what we had in 1997, they're tweaking some of this story to reflect their age and maybe other details that they weren't able to do at that time or include in the original game. It mostly holds the same identity but now it's a reflection of their vision in this era and other aspects too we might not be aware of. I'll use a quick example, Steven Spielberg when he originally made "Close Encounters of a Third Kind" had the Father character leave his family, wife and kids behind to go venture with Aliens. At that time he thought it was a good idea, he was satisfied with that script and it became a film and that was that. Years later in an interview Spielberg regretted that choice, he said something along the lines of, "if I were to remake the film today I would've changed that film's ending." I don't think of it as a betrayal to Final Fantasy 7 IP if the developers decided to reflect on the plot and agreed to do a major change. They've grown and possibly have regrets like Speliberg, it is possible. I don't know the ending of part 3 for FF7R, I truly don't know if Aerith will die or live (that's some of the appeal right?) but I think its better to be open to both routes (she's dead and she lives) if one outcome occurs that you're not fond of.. at the very least you'll be more prepared because you pondered that option before it officially planned out in the game.

Because if in the end all of this is nothing more than worlds created in the lifestream. That answer will created and mess of epic proportions because of a simple question. Who is the insane person that created this worlds and made everyone (innocent and guilty) to relive their most horrible moments of their lifes? And for what? Unfortunately for you neither Sephiroth of Salome have that power over the lifestream. Which leaves only one person behind all of this... Or im just wrong again like in so many things in the FF7R project.
