Katherine Parr was the one who outsmarted Henry, she barely escaped arrest. Though it can be said, that Ann of Cleves got the best deal really as she never had to 'sleep' with Henry, was happy at the divorce, became a woman of property and was granted her freedom, where she could no longer be sold to a foreign prince. But Parr who was Catholic, was a day away from arrest and only her cunning saved her.

Imagine, Henry had so many wives that his sixth wife was actually named after his first wife who was her godmother.

Meh. I'd like to see a film of SUBSTANCE with a cast this strong.

Took my mom yesterday. Hoped it would be fun like Book Club. Horribly boring. Director's and writer's fault. Cast was great. They just didn't have anything to work with.

The music is way too off. Reallly reallllly bad acting and directing The story is good but if there’s another director this movie would be good to watch. 😂😂😂😂

Depressing. Pointless story with no real goal except lots of gore and blood. Pretty good acting at times but the drawn-out chaotic clips stitched together with no real destination lead to eventual frustration.
Its a shame this movie flopped. It's so damn good! I hope it goes cult classic.

In my opinion would rather rewatch fried green tomatoes & first wives club than this. Kathy's performance in fried green tomatoes & Diane's performance in first wives club , absolutely fantastic!

The cast looks like it would be fun to watch, but when I saw the trailer, it looks like it’s a boring movie.

Man, the cast is great, but this just doesn't seem well written or funny at all. How disappointing.

These actors are all twenty or thirty years older than me. There is no way they would have gone to summer camp with any black people.

Finally something worth seeing at the cinema. So tired of the plethora of remakes and sequels of nothing substantial.

I can't stand modern Hollywood romances anymore, 99% of the time it's always the same skinny blonde barbie female lead talking with vocal fry, same jock male lead, nothing truly interesting or creative. Most of them include cheating too. Asian romance movies and dramas are so much better

Would love a version where she never gets beheaded. Instead it’s Henry. It’s fiction. Let’s give her a wonderful life where originally she was robbed.

You're thinking of Catherine Howard, Catherine Parr outlived Henry
@MythicMindScape212 сағат бұрын
Katherine Parr was well on her way to being executed; as she was Catholic and would engage in religious debates with Henry, but when she found out about it, she acted hysterical, and Henry who was always a coward preferring to run from any conflict, tried to console her. She then said, she only debated those issues as it was a way to pass the time. He then later tried to engage her in debates again, but she took his side, and would not be drawn in. When they came to arrest her the next day, he called them scoundrels and sent them away.

Oh the woman who held Elizabeth the 1st's arms behind her back (while she was barely still a teenager) while her husband cut the woman's dress to ribbons and tried to sexually assault her on more than one occasion? Because she was SO obsessed with him she gave in to anything he wanted? That Katherine Parr? 🙄

Are these actors so desperate to make money that they'll star in any old schmalz? Granted, we know Hollywood has few good roles for women of a certain age, but this tripe is just embarrassing ... for them and for us.

First of all crap movie - which is why it was interesting that I got a DMCA warning notice from my ISP - I had watched 20 minutes of it and round filed that trash days before - OK I downloaded it naughty me - Ironically I had deleted it before I even recv'd the notice to delete it - Torrent police for this movie? It bombed at the box office good list of actors notwithstanding, but get serious - it's throwaway Direct to Video trash at BEST - $3.1M gross on a $25M budget maybe they figger the online audience scooped their profits? - ummm not - only way it's going to get an audience is giving it away free - I hope the DMCA detectives got paid upfront cuz this movie did nothing but lose money. So there's that
