This is such a fun sew, I’ve made several duffels from that pattern. I love the quilt repurposing, they get new life. 💜🧵

There are many sizes onba pattern. How do you cut a smaller size without cutting into the pattern and lose some of the other sizes

I love your duffel bag, but I’m sorry that you had to cut up a beautiful quilt. Did you get to see how old it was and if it had any value online?

As many hours as quilters spend on a quilt I also would rather someone find a use for it, even cutting it up, than it going to a landfill. It gets a second life this way. Lovely bag!

Chelsea, you crack me up! Sometimes, I go to your you tube channel just to hear your voice because it always makes me smile. It's contagious, and you are my kind of crazy!❤ I just made a bright and colorful bag from some real pretty dish mats and kitchen towel from Hobby Lobby. Lined it with bright pink fabric and a bright orange zipper! I love it and will be keeping it for myself. Love your tutorials!!!

Thank for this tutorial. I didn’t use dish drying mats but I did use materials I already had. I made mistakes along the way but kept in mind your advice that it doesn’t need to be perfect. I’ll see if I can add a picture. I used old jeans for the outside of the bag.

This was my first ever sewing project and tbh I was scared to death! But you were so extremely encouraging and made everything so simple. This turned out so well and I'm over the moon to have a "win" under my sewing belt already that I'm launching right into another project. Thank you "sew" much!

Faultless does the same thing the same way. It’s as old as I am almost! I’m 60! It gets anything off, including glue from fusible interfacing! This might be the same product, different name so it probably works well.

That’s so much easier than hand scrapping the iron with dish soap and a magic marker! I got one after seeing you open it in the advent calendar, but haven’t used it because I didn’t want to spend the time scrubbing it. But this is so much easier than I could have ever guessed!

In the history of quilt making, I remember seeing that old quilts that were to damaged, ended up as quilt batting or linings/ padding for clothes. I love this material is on its 3rd life. ❤
