Beautiful!!! I love your rustic tree!! 🌲 And the antique sled! 😍 The dining room looks really pretty. I like simple in the dining room too. I don’t want to move a bunch of stuff before meals! Lol! My living room theme used to be snowman. Now at this point, they go in our sunroom and I have different things in the living room. I love antiques! Yup a great time if they have to go out its sale time everywhere! Plus Rakuten has a great money back on it too so thats always a perk. We put a ton of pressure on ourselves dont we. My guys are always saying "whatever you do is fine" yet I take that to make I need to do ALLLLL the things when it really means "seriously if you did nothing we would be good with that too" lol. I think its our drive to make the holidays just extra special ya know? I finally found all my christmas stuff... well that I can get to right now... so decorating will be starting here soon too! I use dish soap and a sponge with a blue scrubber on one side to clean the bathroom, including mirrors, faucets, sinks and tubs. I use a razor scraper on soap scum if needed.

My 16 year old enjoys cake/cupcake decorating. 🧁 I made one of those notebooks and my 16 year old daughter has started one too. We put the recipes to go with the meals too (or copies of the recipes). It’s nothing fancy but I love it! One of the things that I have to put on my calendar is movie nights. We love watching Christmas movies and it really helps to have them penciled in on the calendar with all of the business of the season. Thank you for the video and have a great weekend!

Vlogmas sounds like fun! Yikes on the deer wire darn it! Tis the glitter season! LOL Oh gosh sounds wonderful having the whole family home. I am tickled for you. Got my calendar ready ( commenting along lol ) Its just cold here. We are going to be in the single digits at night over the weekend and highs in the 30's. But Tis the cold season too! Now that we have a huge "shed" I cant wait to leave my trees and things all set up instead of having to take everything apart at the end of the year. Calendar filled out ( still commenting along lol) I know what you mean about "same ole same ole" on the cooking. Thats why I love Pinterest. I just spend time wandering to find new to me recipes. You could Velcro (sticky Velcro) the tile in place!!!! Or use a command hook tab, without the plastic part. They really do hold well then come off nicely. A guy from the phone company actually suggested that to us for our phone Jack as it was falling off the wall.

I use those snakes too! Just found them a few years ago and I love them! I do a wipe down of my sink and bathroom counter every day. I use a little washcloth when I put on my make up and I just find a clean spot on that washcloth and wipe everything down when I’m done. I’ll grab a new washcloth if the mirror has any spots on it , but I’m just talking about the bathroom that my husband and I use so it stays pretty clean. I usually do a quick wipe down of the toilet with a sanitizing wipe also. I do a full bathroom clean on Saturdays where I put cleaner in the toilet and let it sit for a while, then scrub it out, and I put sanitizing cleaner on the bathroom counters in the sink. If there’s any kind of soap scum, I use Bonami and it comes right off. I clean the mirror with glass cleaner. For the most part, I just spray my shower and tub (they’re separate) down with Tilex bleach cleaner and they’re good to go. If there’s anything that needs scrubbing, then I’ll do that with the Bonami. I’m not very good about cleaning the glass shower door because I have found absolutely nothing that works on it in the 13 years that we’ve lived in this house! We have hard water that leaves a white residue. I spray it with the Tilex sometimes just to sanitize it and I dry it with my towel every time I shower to try to keep the residue at a minimum. I do do a full scrub down of the walls with Bonami or Dawn Powerwash but honestly, that’s just about twice a year. It all helps some, not much though. I mean, the shower looks clean, it just has this faint white residue everywhere. It’s beautiful when it’s wet though! Lol! I’ve actually found that cascade platinum gets the white spots off of my dishes… It is the only thing that keeps the white spots off! So, once I actually opened up one of the pods and cleaned my shower door with it. I thought it was gonna be a miracle worker but it really did nothing! Argh!!! Oh well, I am SO thankful for running water!!! 💦 We have two other bathrooms in our house. My adult daughter who lives with us takes care of one as it’s in her space, we have like an apartment on our lower level so she does that one. And my teenage daughters clean the other bathroom. They each have a job to do in the bathroom every day and then they clean it on Saturday, pretty much like my system in the master bathroom. I’d say my girls truly get their daily job done about three times a week but that’s better than none! Lol! Love your bathroom!

I laughed when you mentioned about wanting the house to be good enough for when people stop in unannounced. Oh, the horrors!!! My heart starts to beat out of my chest at the mere suggestion--Ack!! 😲😲😲

This has been an issue for me since I got married and had kids, and I really don't even know if it is resolvable (is that even a word?). I have three kids (19, 18, and 17), and no one helps me, including my husband, and so I do all the cleaning/laundry/cooking myself. So listen, we could have a loooong discussion about how I should have trained them to be helpful from the beginning, but that doesn't change my current reality, so it's a moot point. I see nothing but messes, and after I clean one up, another one appears. I work outside the home (again, another discussion for another day for how I might have done things differently), and I arrive home after 12 hrs on my feet, to a sink full of dishes, an overflowing waste basket, and a hamper full of laundry. I love my family, and I am grateful that GOD blessed me with them, but my goodness, it's overwhelming at times. I am learning to pick and choose my battles. So if the kitchen gets cleaned, then it might be an extra day or two until clean clothes end up in the closet. I don't want to end up bitter and resentful, so I do what I can do, and then leave it at that. If House Beautiful doesn't come knocking on my door wanting to do a photo spread, I'm sure I'll get over it in time :)

I find if I make sure my kitchen is clean when I go to bed at night, the following day just goes so much smoother. Run your dishwasher before you go to bed, empty it in the morning. You will have room for the breakfast and lunch dishes that way. Your “ future self” will thank you in the morning!! Part of my morning routine also includes making my bed, picking up our master bedroom, and cleaning up my husband’s mess in the master bathroom. Because I do this daily, it only takes a few minutes, and I have time to work on other things. You have a beautiful home! I love it!! I also love my own house although it’s totally different than yours. I have a fairly new ranch, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Combination kitchen and dining room. Living room is separated from the kitchen with a half wall, that has a pillar on one end and a shelf at the top of the half wall. I’m not describing it very well, but it’s actually quite nice. We bought the house in 2016. It was the builders model, so it has all the upgrades and it’s quite beautiful! You mentioned in one of your videos something about Bible study. There is a KZbin channel called “ His word, my walk with Kaela”. This is my favorite KZbin channel to study the Bible with. Kaela does a wonderful job explaining scripture. I hope at some time we get to see your baby cows! I’m also hoping your husband will eventually make a cameo appearance!! Just a FYI. I tried to find your channel on another device of mine after recommending your channel to friends of mine. They said they couldn’t fine your channel. When I type in your channel name, it doesn’t come up. What comes up is home renovation channels. This video made my day. You just seem lighter. I am so glad. "Someone to come along side you" I loveeeeee that. Exactly. Its never ending so its ever going lol OOOOOOOOO go get it... get the purse. 'sigh' I love purses, bags, anything with pockets and and ya.... I spent this morning put all the groceries away from last night. We had "stock the pantry" shopping last night and a bit more tonight and every surface was covered in pantry stuff LOL So I got all that put away and my pantries wiped down. Refrigerators were basically empty so they got a wipe down before I got all the stuff put away in there. I got all my veggies prepped/chopped/repackaged etc.. and put away in the refrigerator so they are ready to use through the next week when I am ready to cook something up. Tonight I am headed to pick up all our grains and beans and bulk stuff and I get to play with new containers ( if they show up today fingers crossed lol ) Anyways your house looks great! I am so tickled for you. Keep on keeping on! You got this! They are talking a bit of snow here tonight or tomorrow but I dont think so. With in an hour of us they got FEET! Glad it wasnt here lol I need 1 more weekend to finish up a project and then it can Winter on us all it wants. Yup I got my meal plan uploaded yesterday. Going to be some good eats I hope. Some I have made before some are new. Breaking out my brand new quiche pan... its new but I have had it for like 3 plus years and never used it. Hate when I do that LOL so this weeks food adventure is a quiche. But we are having Enchiladas, Zucchini Chickpea Curry, Mexican Quinoa Soup, Mongolian Chickpeas, Jackfruit Bourguignon, and Onions n Mushroom Quiche ROFLMAOOOO oh gosh thats to funny. I mean it freaks you out but ya been there!!! They changed a 35 to a 25 here and got me too. I had no idea and I just got a warning to. Whew. EEEEE So tickled for you and so very proud of you!! I’ve been doing some decluttering. Our youngest (kids) two girls are 13 & 16 (and 5 of our 6 grandchildren moved across the country last March 😭) so we gave away the play kitchen today. Not sure who had a harder time with that!!! Probably me. It was time though. Now we get to set up a little reading area where the play kitchen was. We’ll all enjoy that. 📚 We had nachos for dinner last night. Planning on French Dip/Au Jus sandwiches this week. 😋 Awwww, bless you for giving your sweet cow, Minnie, a good life. 💗
