Hello from Washington state! I’m a 57 year old Christian mom of 5 children, 3 grown and on their own and 2 teenage girls still at home. We have 6 grandchildren. I’m a nurse but retired 19 years ago. We’ve been homeschooling for 22 years with 5 years to go. I love your philosophy and your attitude. I have a degenerative back issue and I’ve had to adjust how I do things because it really affects my stamina (because of pain). At first, I just felt like a failure because I couldn’t do things quickly (and keep going) like I used to be able to. I’ve had to learn that better is better and doing anything is progress. Body doubling (working alongside a video) really helps me. The endorphins that it releases decreases my pain. I like your laundry room and mud room. 😊 What a great space. Thank you for the video!

Thank you for sharing your story with me! I’m so sorry for the pain you have to endure. But like you said, any progress is a step forward. I have always been an all or nothing kind of person. I am learning that just doing something is better because I will never have the time to do everything all at once. This channel is such a blessing to me because I love hearing from you all. Please keep watching and let’s get things just one step better each day!

49-year-old Tennessee mom to 5 kids, ages 19 to 5. You are speaking my language. I often comment that, "I am the driver of the struggle bus."

Sometimes my bus runs completely off the road! Thanks so much for watching and for letting me know it’s not just me!

I just subscribed! I felt like you were speaking directly to me. I am a mother of two grown children and three grandsons. I am also a nurse. I love doing things for my kids and grandkids. I enjoy buying little things for them, if I see something that reminds me of them I pick it up. My house has always been homey. I need to organize and get rid of some more stuff. I would love to take this journey with you!

Thank you! I look forward to taking this journey with you! I want my home to be a place where my family feels like they can block out the world, sort of a safe haven from everything they have to deal with.

I sent you a reply but I don’t think it went through, so if you get something from me twice, I apologize. I so appreciate you watching and sharing your story with me. I truly want my home to be a place where my kids can come and block out any of the bad things they may face out in the world.

Thank you so much for sharing that! My oldest is only 21 but I have already been thinking about what I want to be called when I have grandchildren. What do your grandkids call you?

I just stumbled across your channel, but I relate so well with what you said. I constantly am trying to get off the hot mess express but feel stuck. It definitely feels like failure. I found this video inspiring and worked on my own cleanup while watching. I look forward to following along with your journey.

I am so happy to have found your channel! I often feel like I am the only person alive who has these struggles. I am a 53 year old mom to one daughter who is 26. I work 2 jobs. My husband left after us having been married 30 years. It has been incredibly difficult. One area of my life that has really suffered is my home. I have gotten just so out of heart. I want to get things back in order. I am overwhelmed by all I need to do and don’t know where to start. Finding your channel was like a breath of fresh air. It’s comforting to know I am not alone. I look so forward to your upcoming videos. **hugs from South Carolina** ❤

I will be 47 next month and I am new to being able to be at home. I'm also an older first time mom. Had our son at 42. I left my job 3 years ago to care for my dad in the last years of his life and haven't gone back because we have decided to homeschool our son. I have struggled to get a routine because I am also not very disciplined. Not to mention I lost both my parents and only sibling within 5 years of each other, so I have also struggled with depression. But the Lord is helping me to have the desire now to get things turned around. Thanks for being honest! 😊 God bless

Do you have help at all? Like a lady to help once in a while with cleaning. Or do you do it all alone? I didn’t understand the reason for the spaghetti O’s. I hope you are not doing to much for her because she is a college girl . Although I would probably do it too. Just don’t do it too much she needs to be accountable at her age. I would probably do it too but I only have one kid and I am not busy like you. You sound like a very caring person and a good mom.I hope your family realizes this and also doesn’t take advantage of you. Does each kid have their own dirty laundry basket? And do they themselves take it to the laundry room when it is full. Or do the older ones do their own laundry? Make sure the kids help you too because you have a lot on your plate. ☮️👍😃💕Having a big family can be wonderful but very hard work for the mom and of course the dads need to help out too.!
