Yup but it wasn’t the real origional earth it was simply another start of the same repetitive cycle

I have only a vague memory of the scene with the Olympic Carrier. Was it ever clarified whether it was right to destroy the ship or was it a misunderstanding?

That "Not now. Not ever!" is up there with Delenn's "Why Not?", Sheridan's "Every. Time. I Say. NO." and Picards "There are FOUR lights!"

As awesome a sequence as this is, and it undeniably is...I always thought it was incredibly dumb to sacrifice Pegasus, a newer ship which can manufacture replacement Vipers, for Galactica which can't. From a purely military standpoint it just seems like they saved the wrong Battlestar.

The only thing I couldnt wrap my head around about this series is the level of technology seems to conflict with what is required to achieve faster than light travel. I understand the producers didn't want to touch on the technobabble but all the same, throughout this series I never saw anything more technologically advanced that where we were at, 20 years ago. I saw printed circuit boards with potentiometers, capacitors and integrated circuits, yet, apparently they (the capricans) had managed to achieve faster than light travel?. In the words of Guns'n'Roses.........it makes no sense to me!.

When I saw the robot female, I thought about our human reality and how we are advancing in the A.I field and building look alike robots. The question is...will they be our downfall. We are building A.I intelligence, and it's learning fast, and we are creating the bodies it needs. I saw a robot male and female in 8/2024, and I can tell you this...the skin is almost becoming more accurate every year. If the robotic team can get the voice and the movement perfect...we will not know the difference.

they could have land the ship into dark side of the moon or another planet in the solar system . away from survivor humans for generations but technology and a warning for future humans in a few thousand years . can you guys imagine we are finding our ancestors spaces ships in our solar system and in the ships . there is documents that telling their story . what happened . what humans did , what they created . I think that would have been a better idea . I honestly think our AI if improve uncheck . this can happen

I would just like to point out something: This was a witch hunt… that caught actual witches. Boomer and the Chief were both Cylons. AND Boomer later almost kills Adama later. AND Boomer later drugs and kidnaps Hera (drugs an infant!!!). AND Boomer later attempts to murder Hera (murder an infant!!!). Boomer turned out to be a real problem for basically everyone (including the Cylons!!!, lol). Boomer did attempt to redeem to herself at the very end, but… maybe the Sargent did a good job in finding two actual Cylons before anyone else did. But…you know… we like Adama and he gives good speeches, so… confined to your quarters forever, Sargent. 😂😂😂 She also didn’t really accuse anyone who wasn’t actually a witch. Her witch hunting success rate was 100%. If she was left to continue her investigation, maybe she would have began to accuse non-witches of witchcraft. But maybe she would kept her 100% success rate while finding the remaining 1-8 models, as well as the Final Five. 😂

If something like this ever does happen to the human race I hope we have better people than this leading us. This show was so dark. I understand why but it made getting through some episodes just a depressing slog.

They think the challenge of Earth is world peace. No The real challenge of Earth is making a better Sci fi Tv show than Battlestar Galactica 2004.

Isn’t it true that (hypothetical situation with no knowable answer)? Isn’t it true that (second hypothetical situation with no knowable answer)? Isn’t it true that (third hypothetical situation with no knowable answer)? There is absolutely no way of knowing any of that. This line of questioning is why lawyers exist (and why lawyers typically need at seven or more years of undergrad and law school). I mean… society has been almost-completely destroyed at this point. Can’t really expect to wait around for seven years while they properly train-up a new generation of lawyers. But there had to have been some actual lawyers still around. We know (later) that Romo Lampkin is around. Not that the Baltar trial was much better, lol. And, of course, I just need to remember that most lawyer TV episodes are often quite bad from an actual practice of law perspective. Lol

Lee was an idiot for how he did this, they had the firepower to kill 2-3 Basestars and jump saving both the Galactica and Pegasus but he chose to go full Leeroy Jenkins and killed 3 while destroying the most advanced Battlestar left. Amazing scene though, this whole show was a Sci-Fi masterpiece.
