Unable to open Word files in Icedrive. Their tech support always replies "conversion server s overloaded" and should be fixed soon. Community site shows that issue with same statement for over a year. Service is pointless if you cant open files. There is no phone support

Here's my #1 criterium for selecting a lifetime cloud storage service: I want to be independent of their proprietary software, and be able to fully automate my uploads (typically backups) via something like ssh, rsync, sftp, or rclone. Pcloud and Internxt work well with rclone. Haven't managed to get it working with icedrive yet, officially it's not supported. This makes Icedrive a no-go for me.

Here is my 2 cents. All of these do a sufficent enough job at protecting you against malware and phishing attacks. The more premium the service the more robust and making your computer useless. I currently use bit defender and it takes 40 percent of my ram and I have 32 gigs. Avast you pretty much have to shut everything down if you want to do a scan. The fact of the matter is all that extra bs actually doesn't make your computer more safe just that the hackers want the easy money the suckers that click on all of their emails. The one's that download stuff constantly. I say malwarebytes like earliest version combined with r-kill before you start your scan is toast for most of these scammers because rkill will terminate all processes.

pCloud also does not offer phone or chat support. The only way to get support is by email and they are extremely slow to respond (3-4 days). Their support used to be good but now it is horrible and they aren't very helpful.

I have been using pcloud for a very long time. I only use 1/4 of the storage.

Recently became a paid subscriber for Bitdefender after years of being a free user and I chose their Internet Security plan (though i would've went with Total Security but i'm on a budget so that was a hard no for me) because it's the second top tier behind Total Security plus it has more benefits while Antivirus Plus is just basic protection

I would have liked to have seen Price be the last category, so we don't miss out on feature and ease of use ratings with the pricier ones. Not saying this is the case, but one can argue the pricing could be justified by the features or ease of use.

I got the 10TB ($1,200) and realized the upload speed I was getting was about 1/3 of what I got with Google drive. The pros of Pcloud may outweigh that con for many users, but I just needed faster upload speed, but pCloud was very hassle free in refunding me. Just FYI!

the only issue with lifetime is its not viable in the run long no matter how much you pay now (you will have problems later on when they change or pivot or cut you off anyway they can so they don't go bankrupt)

This app needs more tutorial videos. PCloud has some good features and easy to use once it’s working.

I use Windows Defender with UI... PIA VPN and monthly I scan with MRT... For a second opinion, Emsisoft Emergency Kit... For a normal user it is more than enough to be a good idea. You don't need to spend money on Norton's, ESET's, etc, etc... Oh! User common sense is key to safety.

I believe pCloud lets us stack lifetime storage as well, but it seems to be limited to 17 TB total. So you can buy 10 + 2 + 2 + 2 for 16 TB, but not 10 + 10 for 20 TB. It would be good information to have this confirmed and included in the video, as well as if a similar limit applies to the others. I don't think I need more than 10 TB today, but it would be disappointing to leave a lifetime account behind in a few years if my needs change and I can't pay to expand the storage more.
