Passport needed if you plan to travel by air. It is not needed, If you travel by road. Voter id is enough.,

Visa is free till now. But they announced that from June 2020, they will be charging an entry fee of 1200rs. But after COVID, it was not implemented yet.

Any one is must, passport or Voter id. They don't accept other I'd proof like Aadhar, licence,etc..

Currency valve is same as Indian Rupees. They also accept Indian Rupees, we can use our Rupees. But whenever they give you change they will give it back in their currency.

We took a flight till Bagdogra and from there by road. Since we wanted to explore different ways, we traveled via train and auto till Jaigoan. From Jaigoan to thimphu by car

We travelled by road, so no immigration. If you are traveling by flight, Yes you need to show your passport with Bhutan exit seal
