We travelled by road, so no immigration. If you are traveling by flight, Yes you need to show your passport with Bhutan exit seal

Any one is must, passport or Voter id. They don't accept other I'd proof like Aadhar, licence,etc..

If you want to enjoy the chillness and snow, then January is the best choice, In February, you will still find the colder climate (sometime -2 or -3). snow covered mountains would be wonderful gift to our eyes. If you a nature lover, want to enjoy the blooming flowers and greenish mountains, then April/May is the best time to visit Bhutan.
