From an Aussie POV..........short-lived early 1970's suburban tough guy/street gang look found in our bigger cities ( Sydney and Melbourne )....working class hooligans.....today we would call them bogans..........stylistically look related to UK skins/bootboys but not really....just the bad boy look of the day - Music was Heavy, slow , plodding UK blues rock out of date by then in UK

1974 there were no one called sharpies in england that i can recall, ,or smoothies , not up north anyway, it was boot boys , yes an offshoot of skinheads , they were still around but the bulk of youth had feathercut hairstyles,wore parallel trousers or jeans, half way up your calf , doc marten boots, ben sherman shirts, wrangler denim jackets ,daft 3 star jumpers various other clothes you would be seen dead in now,,every town village city ,football club had boot boy gangs ,
