For the most competitive colleges, you're going to want straight A's. When it comes to extracurriculars, you want to be the best in everything you do. Founder of nonprofit > volunteer at nonprofit. I know those are not easy things to achieve, but if you strive to be the best, plenty of schools will want you, even if you only get halfway to your goals.

Congratulations on your acceptances! As someone who a year ago was so confused by the process, trust me when I say that it all works out the way it was supposed to. I look back now and can't imagine myself anywhere else!

Congratulations! Our results were super similar, I also was a CS student who got into UCLA but rejected from Berkeley and USC (I wanted to get in just as bad as you did). I decided to bite the bullet financially and chose UCLA, let me know if you choose to go let's get in touch!

Great achievement but a school wont and shouldnt define your mentally capability of space. You can achieve greatness regardless of the school. You will be great!

Don't know if you're christian but please ask Jesus to guide you in these dark times we live in. You will soon need to make a choice on who you will live for. USC was my dream school until I got into Pomona as a transfer student and realized it just made more sense in every way. Glad you got Rice as its a wonderful school in a wonderful place!

If you're out-of-state for UCLA and your parents aren't filthy rich, then you need to decline, unless you can get significant federal aid.

as someone getting their masters at ucla rn its so much better than usc lol, location, gorgeous campus, less elitist, more diverse etc etc, but congrats!!! between rice or ucla you’ll be set either way !!!
