I have some Andis cordless clippers ,the blade gets too hot to use within minutes. I’ve used clippers for 50 years so I’m pretty competent with this style blade. What am I doing wrong? I don’t see anywhere to lubricate the clippers themselves.
@SummitSharpening2 ай бұрын
@@Doktracy reduce the speed! The clippers you used 50 years ago didn't have 4,500 spm 😃 Try using the clippers on the 2nd speed for most grooming Oil the blade every 15 minutes of use to reduce friction as well 🤗

What happened? Sometimes, with these housings, I squeeze them together while tightening the screws. Also, if the battery or motor is wiggly in there, add some foam to pad it against the housing.
@NastyPotato234 ай бұрын

I have the easy clipper that I just received, but mine is the opposite. It’s difficult to take the blade off. Almost like it’s stuck on . Any tips would be appreciated
@SummitSharpening4 ай бұрын
Hey! I would try a new Hinge Assembly. That's the hinge and the lock. The springs on the hinge could be bad. When the blades get stuck on like that, push down on the blade as if you're doing the opposite of what you want. That should release the blades until you get the new hinge and lock!

good morning I am writing from Italy, I wanted to know if after sharpening the blades it is normal for the surfaces to become rough when they slide over each other, thanks Angelo
@SummitSharpening4 ай бұрын
Hey Angelo, That is not normal. The sharpener is either using a very rough grit, or they are not properly cleaning the blades after sharpening. Make sure they're always oiled as well. Thanks!

@@SummitSharpening Thanks for your answer. I sharpen with the HEINIGER COMBI GRINDER with very fine powder, after sharpening I clean with petroleum and blow well with the compressor, yesterday I didn't use petroleum but I cleaned with a specific product for cleaning blades and I noticed that it worked Better. Can you show it being run with some wide blades and a standard size 5/8 blade (not toe blade)? That's where I've noticed things start to get loud and vibrate more, especially the longer wide blades when they hit the blade drive cover plate. I know it's too soon to tell but I'd like to know how it holds up to daily wide blade use. I rarely run the standard size anymore. Also, it looks like the blade drive is the same as their other models, like the ZR's and corded 5 speeds; is it? Thanks!
@SummitSharpening5 ай бұрын
Hey! Yes, the heavier the blades, the louder it can get. With cordless and wide blades we need to oil very often (every 15 minutes) and that will prevent the noise 😊 I'll make a video explaining this more thoroughly! Andis clippers are probably the most quiet because of their blade drive design 🤗
