Can Revit building models be imported directly into Expivi? Does it need to be pre-rendered in a Lumion type program or changed into an other file type?

I have am building a website on Wix for my construction business for small structure. I would like to have a 3D configuration feature for the models I create on Revit and render in Lumion. Would Expivi upload the model from either Revit or Lumion? Does Expivi plugin to Wix? What else would I need to make this series of tech work for my goal?

Hi Max, Good questions and what an amazing idea to use a configurator for small structures. Since your questions go into depth we would recommend contacting our sales team, they can see what plan is suitable for your website. You can call them with the number +31 (0) 40 304 6250 or email them: [email protected] As for the 3D models, you should be able to upload them when the right rendering is provided, take a look at this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmnMammKZd-dnLs To make configuring a blast, the textures need to be reapplied in the Expivi configurator.

Sadly you can not scale the mapping from within expivi. You can however change the sizing of your unwrap in your 3D software which should give you the same result.

I think its very important to notice that in order to use a material group, you have to make one first... You make it by adding a matgroup node in the "ModelTree" section of the configure menu.

You just need the 3D models of your product, which is a service we provide if you don't have any. Setting up the configuration is super easy through Expivi's platform and you can place the product on your own website or webshops through our plugins. Head out to expivi.com to see more.
