Most laybys are like this. Some are worse. It's just laziness. Put a bag in the car for any rubbish? Nah - just throw it out the window.

I am a litter picker volunteer in the Scottish Borders and the worst thing is HGV drivers who pee in bottles and dump them.Sometimes 30 bottles in a 100 yards.

New bikes aren’t made as well, you only gotta look at the used market to see rusty bolts from cheaper metals, more plastic than anything on new bikes, I don’t trust Chinese motorbikes either for longevity or reliability

It amazes me that they didn't see this coming. The big manufacturers have been churning out overpriced tech filled garbage for years. I can buy a second hand bike that does everything the new model does for a fraction of the cost. These Chinese brands are making brand new bikes that do everything their rivals do for much less. Its only going to be good to force companies to realise they cant just jack up the price and fleece people anymore. The other huge problem in the UK is insurance companies charging massive amounts to insure young riders. Expensive new bikes they cant insure vs a car that costs the same but can fit their mates in. Its a no brainer. As soon as bikes become a cheap mode of transport again the industry will have a resurgence.

Growing up in a council house in Liverpool we all knew were the presents were coming from quite early on. My parents made an effort to turn it into an event but it meant other days such as Birthdays were pretty subdued. Even today I don't consider birthdays to be anything special. As an adult though I don't really care much about Christmas either, I think Its more of a family thing, if I had kids id probably make an effort. I have no interest in putting up decorations either.

After the kids left home Christmas took a nose dive, like you say it has become over bloated by need to by someone some shit they don't really need. The only concession I make to the wife is a small fake Christmas tree. She does still get the grandchildren some small gifts, as for me I wait till after lunch and get on my Honda NC 750 and go for a quick burn weather permitting, living on the English Welsh Border area quiet roads are only a few miles away/ I lived in Inverness in the 70's and travelled Scotland all over in later years after moving south. Happy Christmas both.

I chose chin mounts due to using wired mic. I've recently purchased the new DJI Mic Mini so It frees me up to start playing around with camera placement. I have a bunch of mounts that I just don't use. I did almost buy a drone a while ago but I think I was more enamoured with the thought of having a drone than any ideas of actual use. I'm not sure trying to have it follow me commuting would be the smartest idea I've ever had.

I have very similar opinions on bike tech, I don't want to boot my bike up when I go out for a ride. I also thought about going to the bike show but I really don't care about what new bike is being released and then overpriced. My "editing" style is choppy almost by necessity. Imagine how long the videos would be if I left in all the riding bits! I do make ride videos with little to no chatting but they are mainly for my enjoyment as nobody seems to like them much. Oh and there is no wrong answer on how to pronounce Slobolobo, they joy is in listening to people choose how to say it 🤣🤣

I tried commuting on my Suzuki Intruder a few times but I had a real bad habit of trying to rev it out like a sports bike, I always felt like I was torturing the poor thing. It also didn't like to brake and I overshot the stop line more than once. A shame really because It had a lovely sound to it and riding position. I also wasn't very confident on it when filtering, not entirely sure why. I may one day pick up a Honda Magna cruiser style with a revvy engine. Ill just add it to my ever growing stuff I want list lol.

An awesome place to have a commute, probably less so when winter kicks in. I genuinely would sit on the bike and launch the drone lol and blame it all on my bad knee for not walking. A nice cliff-hanger ending wondering if the drone would make it before it lost power.

U are turning the engine off , even if its for 30 seconds ? Do u have a kick start ? Otherwise u could be taking more out of the battery than u would gain by using the electric start. Back in the days when cars had dynamo's it was said u have to do at least 12 miles to put that power back in the battery. Of course alternators are much more efficient than that.
