Awesome video! A lot of people are struggling with fork tube mounts from Quad Lock and Peak Design. Both are designed for round fork tubes, not the hexagonal tubes Kawasaki uses. This seems to be the perfect solution

@louierivera7512 If you want something cheaper, search Amazon for DMD or Shogun Frame Slider for Ninja 650. Also, Front Axel Slider (there are also rear axel sliders but u can't install it since Ninja 650 has a pin in the rear axel).

I'm not sure but if you don't have that dummy hole next to dash then probably don't have the power connector. You would probably need to buy amazon usb that connects to battery directly.

Same bike, fairing fasteners tend to backout over a few thousand miles, use some blue loctite and its easy enough to take off for oil changes ect just re-apply each time and you’ll be golden

This exhaust is only for US version with 1 O2 sensor. If you already bought it then maybe you can plug the 2nd slot with plug screw that came with exhaust?

@genxjya it's not that a slot remaining. It's the second sensor (and the wires) that are left hanging, and I'm nervous if it will appear the check engine

Actually it's more expensive otd then similar msrp/cc bikes. Also used prices are much higher than others. For example, I could get Z650 or Ninja650 for minimum $1k less than mt07.

I don't think it has anything to do with the price. There's clearly an error in manual, cause they torque spec is way to high for such a small bolt.

hi mate, you are absolutely right! i broke the big axle of the rear wheel, while maintaining the torque as the manual said. the numbers are way to high

That's crazy. For the rear axel, I used 75 ft lbs instead of 77 ft lbs in the manual. I think yamaha or any manufacturer should always design so there is some protection above or below torque. Especially for common maintenance stuff.

it's unfortunate, but 30ft lbs is too much. also, no tech uses a torque wrench on drain bolts. get it snug/hand tight and then 1/4 turn of your ratchet and you're good. applies with any oil drain bolt, cars or bikes.

Yes, i had a MT 09 and tried to mount a crash bar on engine mounting points...and while tightening to the specs the bolt...@#$% the hole and ...voila, Engine mounting screw was gone... Yamaha is having some QC problems . In my city 1 mt 07 crashed at 19 mph and broke in half... i had a accident recently and at 17 mph broke in half ( at the neck)... i have vid and pic if you dont believe me. This new series is bad... Goodluck!

@DscRides577 Good idea. I even saw a post on reddit where the guy cracked it with 20 ft lbs. Tight with hand then maybe 1 or 2 tugs should be good enough. Check the chain - after adjusting I torqued the axel to 75 ft lb (manual says 77). I skipped the Throttle body sync (really unnecessary unless bike is running weird - idle jumping, lots of shaking, etc).

@@YammiePro Hand tightening a drain plug is way to loose. You'd be lucky to apply more than 2-3 ft lbs of torque (or 4-5 Nm by hand (IF you mean by just using your fingers). The correct torque should be used, and if it cracks like in this video there's a serious production error (I did'nt see the full video, just the start). If you hand thighten it, and it comes loose while driving, you get oil all over your back tire and a very possible whipe-out (plus much likely a ruined engine). If in doubt, why not let the dealer take that first service? Because then if, against all odds, this happens when the drain plug is thightened, it's on the warranty. In Europe (where I live at least) the warranty is voided if service program not followed.

Good idea on garage door remote location. I guess my only concern would be moisture getting into remote. I used gray port for quick shifter. Works fine.

I did the door opener with outdoor rated velcro on my previous bikes. I can take it off whenever I need but even if it gets wet, just let it dry out and no issues. I didn't have any velcro this time but will change. Quick shifter is tempting 🤔 but no $ because I had a major issue during my break-in service. Vid coming soon...

@@genxjya IMO, most windscreens are too small......Puig sells 3 sizes, The middle size is perfect.....But It is a "naked" bike so going 80 + it's ok but not going to block all the wind.... BUT... It looks cool AF......

Connecting an ecm scanner/ code reader plugs under the seat. Should look into CB racing case savers covers left / right,water pump and water outlet.

I just ordered that wind screen. I hope it deflects a little air when tucked at highway speeds. Also I believe one of those electrical connectors if for the quick shifter. Its suppsed to be plug & play. As for the stock exhaust, I saw a couple videos where people remove the tip cover and drill a few small holes. I have this exact bike & did it myself. I also sprayed the heat shields with high temp black paint to match the bike. Love the sound of that super sport that passed you at the 8 Minute mark. You should have got an inline 4 cylinder. They're not going to make them for many more years, and they will always hold their value and probably go up in value. I'm getting a 40th anniversary 2024 ZX-4RR. Nothing beats the exhaust note of a screaming inline 4-cylinder. Enjoy.

I'm near Tappan NY. Mine is a 23 and with tax and everything it came out to $9.3k. It's a popular bike so not sure you are gonna get a good deal but definitely avoid the Jersey dealers!!! Let me know when you get yours and we could ride.

@GroupFI For first bike, try to keep it around 350lb and make sure u can flat foot it. Ninja 400, R3, MT03 would be good choices. Personally, I wouldn't recommend MT-07 as a first bike.

Ya I think so. I removed it because I got really bad gas mileage. I think there were some leaks. Should have put some sealer where the pipes meet. Probably a tune may help but didn't want to flash ecu. Also, it would defeat the purpose of getting a cheap exhaust if I have to pay as much for a tune. I traded in the bike for a MT-07.
