You really need to get the ecu flashed. Moore mafia just did a 650. Great results.

Yeah I should have... Got really bad gas mileage. Removed it and traded in for a Yamaha MT-07. Checkout the drop-off and pickup vid on my channel...

As always, great video, very comprehensive. I don't think I am going to change out the exhaust, it does sound a little better, according to your sound checks, but not sure if it would bug me on long trips or not.

It's real loud so it may bother some people. I listen to music with earbuds but now I have to increase the volume to max. For a long trip (over 2000 miles) in the spring, I may use the original exhaust.

Nice. I just installed mine yesterday. Had to figure out a bit to make it all fit in. Its sounds much better in person and if you take out the baffle it gets really loud. Just wanted to know what torque specs did you use to tighten the header bolts?. Great video

Sounds awesome. It's loud enough for me with baffle. My neighbor thought I got a new bike... Torque should be 13 ft lb for header but I didn't bother since that's basically hand tight. Couple of things... Carbon fiber tip on mine turned black so asked seller and got an all metal muffler. Also, I put some heat shield (a.co/d/9LYxzZu) on the inside of bottom left fairing (black part). Update review video coming soon.

I have a 23' ninja 650 aswell and for the past two weeks been reading ebay reviews on how it doesn't fit properly on the exact one you bought and im just now finding your video. helped alot been wanting to pull the trigger and buy it and just retro fit it if i had too but it seems as if it really fit perfect Since you have had it any melting on any fairings? I know you mentioned little space but just curious b4 I buy the same one haha. thanks

That's the same reason I was worried. If you see 5:07 of my vid. The new exhaust almost touches that plastic piece. There are actually groove shapes on the inside of that piece for an exhaust but it is still very close. Recently I purchased a heat shield, cut it to shape and stuck them on inside of those inner pieces on both sides. Also, the carbon fiber on tip of muffler just turned black. So the seller is sending me a different one without carbon fiber on tip. I am planning a update review/ride video whenever the weather breaks. So bad news I just got mine this morning came in and installed it I did have to cut an inner fairing I have a 2023 krt abs 650 pipes did not go any closer together but all in all sounds good so far

Thank you. It's a Kawasaki oem part. Got it on ebay. One of first mods I did and I highly recommend it. Aliexpress or temu has them for like $15. I have other tail bags that I put on the rack and I can fit another tail bag on the back seat. I'm planning on going on a long trip and will try to make a vid of touring setup I'll use.

What do you do with the second O2 sensor? The A.M. one comes with a single slot for O2 and the original one has two

This exhaust is only for US version with 1 O2 sensor. If you already bought it then maybe you can plug the 2nd slot with plug screw that came with exhaust?

@genxjya it's not that a slot remaining. It's the second sensor (and the wires) that are left hanging, and I'm nervous if it will appear the check engine

@IOverdoneCrownI I'm in the USA so we only have one sensor. I think Europe and some other countries have 2 sensors for environmental control. Try it with just one sensor. Maybe you get an engine light. Also, if you have issue with engine not starting or cutting out, then increase the "idle speed" with control on bottom right of bike.

Better fot kawasaki 650s to have longer and thicker exhaust, 450mm like yoshi R77. It sounds more bassy.

Otherwise you can get this after market one then use the rest of money for other gear. Check out fc moto (german website) for riding gear. @Band222 Probably not a good idea. The o2 sensor may go crazy. Also, the muffler and cat converter are one piece. Once u cut that off the pipe is just gonna hang on bottom of bike.

None so far. Bike running good. Waiting for better weather to make review/riding video. If you get this, don't get the one with carbon fiber on tip. Mine turned black. Get the one which is all black, all metal, or carbon fiber with metal tip.

Ya I think so. I removed it because I got really bad gas mileage. I think there were some leaks. Should have put some sealer where the pipes meet. Probably a tune may help but didn't want to flash ecu. Also, it would defeat the purpose of getting a cheap exhaust if I have to pay as much for a tune. I traded in the bike for a MT-07. Checkout the vid on my channel.

HAHA overkill? That bike comes leaned out from factory as is, now u made it even more, I just went thru all this with mine. Get a power command at minimum, ur machine will thank u

If Kawasaki setup the bike as "lean" then maybe that's the way it's supposed to be? From youtube videos I've seen, an aftermarket exhaust actually makes the bike run richer. On a computer you may see differences but a person wouldn't be able to notice anything different performance wise in real riding conditions. This bike is like a Honda not a Ferrari. They put these exhausts on far more expensive/finicky bikes with no tune and they have no issues. Only time will tell. I'll do an update video soon.
