The Red Coats were abandoned LONG before WWI, I think it was sometime between the Napoleonic wars and the First World War, so early to mid 1800’s that the Red Coats were finally phased out.

From the CoD channels I looked at after Brandon's video the AK50 is the new meta. I also read in one of the comments sections that they renamed the gun in-game from the JAK Cataclysm to the JAK Herrera.

The definition of "Trunnion" goes like this: _A trunnion is a cylindrical protrusion used as a mounting or pivoting point. The primary function of trunnions is to provide a stable axis of rotation or oscillation for a moving part. They are typically attached to the object or structure being rotated or oscillated._ Meaning that trunnions are necessary for AK bolts 'cause they're rotating.

Needing to get licenses and pay people to use their guns in video games means that you'd basically never see any real guns in video games. Small developers don't have the money for that, and big developers aren't willing to pay for it and/or "advertise" real gun manufacturers anymore, unfortunately. Also, 18:30 The map is called 'Shipment' and it's originally from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007). So it predates Rust from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) by 2 years. Plus they have both Shipment and Rust in the new MWIII anyways. Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the original MW3 (2011) had both maps as DLC as well. But imo, the players aren't really the thing that makes the new Call of Duty games bad. It's the games themselves that are bad. Especially the visuals and tone. There are basically no authentic looking guns, they're seemingly allergic to even using military designations for weapons in the games, even though those are not copyrighted, but my biggest issue is the complete lack of any consistency or cohesion in the tone of the game. You saw it yourself, furries, comic book characters, celebrities, just goofy stuff like a literal clown suit, maps with a cartoon filter over them for no reason whatsoever. I would legitimately be embarrassed if anyone caught me playing any of the new Call of Duty games. They are the literal definition of corporate slop. You can tell just by looking at it, and especially when you actually play it, that these games do not have even a semblance of soul to them. I do not think for a second that anyone behind this game actually cares at all about what they're making. Sorry for the rant, but I've been playing the old CoD games from the late 2000's/early 2010's lately and it really puts into perspective just how creatively bankrupt and soulless these recent games are. It's been bottling up inside me and I felt the need to let it out.

It's like a grey area in my opinion, the timing definitely is unfortunate but games have been merging classic designs for years without any big manufacturers caring, an AK looking gun (not specifically just AK) that shoots a different caliber is not unique and making it work in real-life will not make it unique, you will find mods like that for so many games, there's one for Ready or Not that changes the muzzle break on a .300BO rifle to look and perform like a .50. Brandon is lucky because the big ones like Barrett and the AK guys don't seem to care but you can't (can because US patenting is flawed but shouldn't) patent something like that, at the end of the day it's an AK, not anyone else's AK.

Barrett usually pays to have their gun's full real name in the game because their business benefits from people thinking "Barrett" when they think of a .50 cal rifle.

Yeah, Glock is the only manufacturer I know of that will sue you for using their name in a game without their permission. To everyone else, It's free advertising. Besides, if companies did start going after people for "stealing" their guns, we probably wouldn't have any authentic guns in any games anymore. I know Call of Duty isn't a good example of that, but if you look at a game like Battlefield, they put a ton of attention to detail in their gun models and animations. Even 2042, of all the problems that it had, weapon authenticity generally wasn't one of them.

@midknight9715
@midknight9715 15 сағат бұрын
@@alexfischer7876 tbf all of those guns are 80 years old or older, so developers are generally a lot more okay with making those 1-to-1. Although Battlefield 1 and V also had a lot of really cool details that I only really started to appreciate after I got into collecting historical firearms. Some underrated examples that I found are: in BF1, when your character loads a clip into the Mosin-Nagant, he lifts the front of the top round up before pushing it all the way into the magazine to prevent rimlock. Or in BFV when you spawn in with an M1 Garand, your character switches the safety off, which is located on the front of the trigger guard. Which I saw but never registered until I actually got a Garand myself. I also noticed how Battlefield tends to go for less flashy, but more authentic and practical animations for reloads and stuff. Whereas new CoD is the opposite, it tries to make reload animations look super "cool" and "tactical" while usually not making a whole lot of sense. Like using the "Iraqi reload" technique for AK's, or pulling the charging handle on an AR instead of just hitting the bolt release. Also more detailed and high-effort animations aren't always better imo. In Battlefield you only use a stripper clip if you can fit all the rounds in the mag. In CoD you always use a clip and only load how ever many rounds will fit. The CoD animation is more high-effort and detailed, but makes significantly less practical sense than BF's animations. Damn it, I'm tangenting again, I'll stop now.

I think it was the battle of Okinawa, the US lost 12,000 men. 5000 of those were from the naval engagement off shore, and the majority of those were due to Kamikazes. It was not a sustainable tactic, but it was a very effective one. It basically turned a plane into a guided missile, and an accurate one at that.

Couple of notes: 1. You can absolutely use metal utensils in your pans as long as they're not non-stick. In a seasoned cast-iron pan the polymers will not break from a little scraping. 2. Draining rice, a lot of people don't know why some chefs do it, the reason is that most rices we buy contain fairly large amounts of arsenic and if you cook your rice in an excess of water, much of the arsenic will be drained along with the water. I still wouldn't recommend it using any type of sticky rice, but with western long-grain rice, perfectly fine. If it's still wet, just put it back onto the heat for a few seconds to remove the last excess. 3. Tofu is fine but he used the wrong type. This was silky tofu, you want to use a hard to medium-hard tofu in a fried rice in my opinion. 4. Olive oil is an aromatic oil, this means that generally it's smoke point is low. In other words it can't stand high heat. the aroma of it don't work with asian flavours and if you want to cook something, use non-virgin olive oil as it can withstand higher heat, virgin olive oil is almost exclusively for flavoring. If you want to sear something, use other types of fat with a high smoke-point. Tallow, grapeseed oil and so on. If you're gonna cook a steak for example and do it in olive oil, the oil will burn and that's not a nice taste. The aroma from butter or olive oil can be added after you've seared your meat and bring down the temperature to cook it through, just baste the meat with the aromatic fats and herbs/garlic.

Being Asian/Asian American she’s not fully wrong on the draining of the rice, that is Asian Indian way to par cooking rice; and adding it to other dishes or cooking it almost near done. Then letting the rice cook the rest of the way through via a method called carry over cooking, but aside from the Asian Indian method; it’s wrong to not cook it until boiled through. I’d love more reactions to Asian or non asian food uncle roger reacts to, you’ll see how good or bad people cook cultural food; and the importance of cooking it traditionally the cultural way within its many acceptable methods before you try to fusion it. Also Asians, we don’t put any butter in plain rice!! Plain rice has its own flavor that works with the other food you make, but plain rice is good on its own; although if you’re adding butter to your rice… there is a good chance that it’s not good quality!! Good quality rice of Asian or other countries that aren’t western or overly western, have great rice for different cultural dishes. In general if someone puts butter in my good quality asian white rice, i will not be happy!!!

it amazes me every time how the people who talk the most about communism and have the strongest opinions know the least. there is more then 1 kind of communism and some are more realistic then others. if one type didnt work then just that type doesnt work but not all, thats like its impossible to build a rocket because spacex explodes more often then not. some people who are in to communism sure dont understand and believe in the ones that already failed regardless if they where implemented correctly but as far as im aware most believe in different kinds which havent failed yet. so its very unfair and rude to kick them down for something that hasnt been invalidatet yet and who knows maybe there is one or multiple kinds of communism that are done correctly and actually end up working. after all everyone says sharing is a good thing.
