Thank you so much for this video! I just purchased the analog version which is great but I’m confused about the included GoPro mount. It only has 2 ears on it rather than the typical 3 that GoPros slot into. I’m not sure how to mount it. Am I missing something?

Hello and thank you for your nice comment. The GoPro holder that comes with the tern LR 40 is attached to the frame with two screws.Either you remove the GPS holder, then there is more space on the frame, or you have to live with the fact that the angle is a maximum of 15 degrees.I have installed my GPS at the back and can therefore use the holder without any problems. However, I have converted my analogue tern LR 40 to a DJI O3 unit, the quality is more than enough for me. I also only built a runcam on the quad for testing purposes.

@@BigKahunaFPV Thank you so much for your reply! I’ve moved the gps module back and mounted the GoPro holder to the drone. My issue is that the GoPro holder only has 2 pieces that stick up where all other GoPro mounts have 3 pieces that stick up. To put it another way, I’m not sure how to mount the GoPro to the GoPro holder. 🤷🏻♂️

@@MountTinMan I think the holder is too small for a GoPro?! I think I know what you mean now, a GoPro has three bars and the Tern holder only has two. This works for a Runcam Thumb. Best regards

Yes, it flies really well. It was extremely windy that day, but even then you can still fly fairly cleanly. Best wishes 🫡

Nice! You can probably get a little more range on those long flights if you keep a low altitude into the headwind and then fly higher with the tailwind. On a normal day, the wind slows down with the ground, so it should be stronger up high.

During the flight I flew 6s Li-ion batteries with 4000mAh. I also use 2200mAh LiPos in the copter, and I fly with them for about 7 minutes. Best regards

I have tested some different props on my LR40. And non of them have felt better than the original. Think GEPRC made a god work with what they use from the beginning. Really like the LR40 as a longranger. But I think it’s a bit ”underpowerd” to really have fun with as a ”freestyler”. Smoth 3D moves and like ”soft” 3D works well. Think the power makes you learn ”throttle management” since you not really have the punch to get you out of trouble. I guess the quite low power consumption make it work as it does? All in all I think it’s an exellent little drone!

What's your drone setup? Just O3 air unit and/or different receiver? how far could you fly with it?

Hey, I can fly 6km with the O3 without any problems. In this case I also have the O3 as a receiver.

I have the same Nazgul F6D V2 with O3, even did the FCC hack (example - I have 3 channels in 40mhz, so it's working), but still managing from 250-300 to 600-800 m max distance (depends if I'm flying in an open field or it goes behind trees/other objects) before losing signal. Did you change anything else after getting the drone from iFlight to achieve this kind of distance? Have updated everything, changed the antennas to longer ones, but no difference :/

@@reinis.fridbergs That's really weird. I don't have any problems with range. The Dji controller even performs better than my ELRS transmitter.I always make sure there are no objects between me and the drone.
