Why does this feel like I'm watching a giant's pov
@McPeakFilms2 ай бұрын
You're right, it does look like that. I think it's because the shrubs are so stunted up there (hard winters at elevation) and I was walking on an elevated monorail. So it does look like I'm towering over "trees"...

I was up in a wilderness area of the Rocky Mountains in 1975. The jets would go supersonic, and the booms would echo around so much it sounded like they had started rockslides.
@McPeakFilms3 ай бұрын
It would be fun to hear some sonic booms. I used to hear them when I was a child, growing up on Air Force bases. But even though the fighters that I heard and saw a few days ago were well under supersonic speeds, they were loud! Thanks for the memories!

I didn't see anything
@McPeakFilms3 ай бұрын
I saw them earlier that day, but wasn't able to get my camera going in time. Plus, I doubt they would have been very visible from a video filmed on a phone! But in the video here, I couldn't see them either, just wanted to share the (impressive) sound!

@McPeakFilms Жыл бұрын
Hi Karren - the hike up Mt Tremont is about 2 hours north from where we live, so it's a long day up and back, but worth it! Strangely, I almost never see wildlife up there - birds and some squirrels, of course, but there are bears and deer and even some moose, but they stay away from where the two-legged's go!
