Absolutely gorgeous - as always. I know this piece well and I was just waiting for the pedals. This is a very challenging fugue and Philip never ceases to amaze me.

Perfect tempo, not rushed like others like it is a 'race' to get to the end, doing that misses out on the sheer grace of the piece, a slower tempo allows you to wallow in all it's majestic glory.

The chamadenwerk on Rotterdam has a bass/discant split. The diskant, which is what you have found, is on the Right stop jamb. The stops with the same names on the Left jamb do the bottom two octaves of pipes.

It is because all the different stops has to be accessible to be loaded quickly. That is where the big amount of RAM is needed.

I have found that many of Grieg's Piano Works work extremely well on Organ - finding the right stop combination and touch technique is not easy to do... but it can be done.
