Hormonal therapy drugs should come with strong warning labels that it may cause suicidal thoughts. Within 4 days of taking Anastrozole, my whole body and mind went through the worst hell I've ever experienced in my life. The pain was horrendous, but I became very depressed within days. My family had to monitor me until the drug was out of my system. I never thought of harming myself until this drug. I had to fight my brain daily from taking my own life. I also immediately experienced horrible spine pain that is still with me even though I am no longer taking hormone therapy. I was NOT counseled on this drug and when I ran the numbers and confronted my oncologist to verify that it only increased my survival rate 1-2%. Quality of life is more important to me than feeling what I did for the next 5-10 years.

That's not what a BIRADS score is, you dont score 4 unless there's an abnormal finding. You can have extremely dense breasts with a BIRADS score of 2.

My mother’s breast cancer is in the uterus &adnexa now, also one lymph node in the omentum and another in retroperitenium per PET scan.. It’s about 2cm in the uterus and the aortic one is 7x2cm. she quit smoking and I have her on a very strict protein,veggie tumeric lentil broccoli blueberries diet.. Can I get some advice? had a tumor removed oct 7th. It was small. 1.5 cm. They got it all from the margin they took. Lymph nodes clear. It was invasive carcinoma. Stage 1. Grade 3. Estrogen positive. Pgr positive. HER 2 negative.. they are recommending chemo radiation and hormone therapy.. I eat a strict ketogenic diet. Healthy otherwise.. please I need a second opinion. Thank you

23 years ago I had 7 years of estrogen blocking therapy, along with chemo, radiation and lumpectomy for estrogen positive breast cancer. Recently, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in the opposite breast. I underwent a double mastectomy and luckily the cancer did not spread to the lymph nodes. As a result of estrogen blockers, I now have other serious complications, including osteoporosis. I chose not to take hormonal therapy for 10 years this time. Is the current treatment, worse than the cancer? If you end up in a wheelchair, die from a fall or bones disentigrating worth the gamble?

How about you try the hormonal therapy and let me know how easy the decision is for you? There is a reason women don’t take these medications and it’s because the side effects are brutal. They aren’t just being noncompliant for no reason

Please correct me here if I am wrong! The ideal way is to find Breast Cancer at Stage 0. That's the size of about a pencil eraser or smaller and is discovered where it started. 3D Mammography can sometimes find Lobular and other tumors especially when they have grown larger and become more visible in Women with Grade 3 or 4 Dense Breast Tissue. We need better reliable and available test screening. The solution I believe is Breast CT, it is much better at detection, pain free, affordable and fast. That's the new standard of care.

In July of 2019, I was only 41 years old when I became the first woman in my family to be diagnosed with breast cancer. I found my lump during my monthly self-exam, ironically, earlier that year my insurance company said I was too young for pre-screening mammogram since I didn't have a family history. It was hot to the touch, itchy, painful and my breast and armpits were swollen and getting worse daily. After several diagnostic MRIs and ultrasounds, a PET scan, and multiple biopsies, the tests revealed I had Stage III, Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) that had already spread throughout my left lymph nodes. It was spreading so fast that the lymph nodes in my right armpits were inflamed. My report said it was inflammatory Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and macro-metastatic lymph node carcinoma, my Ki-67 score was 95%! My treatment included months of several types aggressive chemotherapy, multiple biopsies, surgeries, and seven weeks of radiation. I rang the bell during COVID-19, on April 23, 2020. I didn't finish all the chemo treatments (red devil) because my body was too weak. My skin peeled off during radiation and I had to stop and start again to finish. I had to get IV fluids after every treatment and would lose about 20 lbs between treatments. I am BRCA negative! TODAY I AM STILL CANCER FREE! To God be the Glory!
