I had a lumpectomy and just finished 5 days of radiation it was all fine no problems with anything, also taking the hormone therapy tablets one a day, mine was stage 2 ductal invasive carsinoma im in England, im 64 years old.

Is it true that woman over 70 don't need radiation.my oncologist said there was a study. I have onco score of 30 he won't give me radiation. Before surgery he was so I got lumpectomy. I was going to do mastectomy

I need info .. my breast surgeon did a Lumpnectory and did not recommend a mastectomy. Stage 1 . 2.3 cm tumor .. not in lymph nodes. The radiation oncologist wants me to go back and have a mastectomy? Can you explain why a radiation doctor would question a surgeon?
