I stayed in a studio apartment in Richmond Ca. for about 4 years. It was on top of a garage on the corner of Barnhard Ave. behind a corner shop/woodshop. Rumored to be the early recording studio for Credence. I always wondered if "Lookin out my back door" was written lookin out that big Bay window or on that porch?

I met Mr. Fogerty at El Cerrito Guitar Center about 13 or 15 years ago. I was the front door greeter & asked him if his name was John? He gave me that million dollar confident smile, told me "Naw." Then shook my hand & winked at me. The very next month I was stocking magazines & there he was on the cover of Acoustic Aficionado magazine wearing the same outfit I seen him in at GC lol confirmed with my manager Chad. "Told me he wasn't John!" He said agitated at the missed sale lol.
