Песня сразу напомнила время юности, когда в советском летнем пионерском лагере я в тайне от вожатого проникал в радиорубку лагеря и включал на весь лагерь привезённые гибкие "сорокапятки" с песнями Криденс(CCR) на радость мальчишкам, игравшим на стадионе в футбол...Отличная песня, как те, что были в юности. Love the Blue Moon Swamp album. It was released about three weeks after my high school graduation. Definitely one of the best John has put out. It got him a Grammy for Rock Album of the Year in 1998

Back in the 80s I had a VHS tape with a HUGE party going on somewhere in Louisiana, and there was an enormous bunch of people with fires going under 55 gallon drums, boiling tons of crawfish, corn on the cob, and red potatoes, and in the midst of all these crawfish-chomping, beer drinking folk was John Fogerty, with a guitar and a small amp, playing Don't Mess With My Toot-Toot. He had them ALL dancing. It looked like an absolute blast!
