Felix, I agree with your overall take on the MD-11. My biggest gripe with the plane is actually the switch behavior (and click spots)...almost all position switches are programmed in reverse logic to the industry standard. I diagramed each switch and it's reverse behavior in the cockpit to show TDFi and also saw hundreds of other customers in their discord and other social media complaining about the same weird engineering decision they made. I was disappointed to see that the switches along with some other bugs I reported were not addressed in the first update. I feel the same sentiment as you that TFDi doesn't really take as much community feedback as some other developers. I have it parked in the hangar for now and doubt I'll be giving it much flying time with the state the plane is in and the company's receptiveness to feedback. If you really want to fly an MD-11 I think it's in a state where you can have fun with the plane, but it's just lacking for me in some key areas.
@WheelsUpLive16 күн бұрын
It's always tricky with implementation of these things since there really aren't enough "standards". If there were, reversers would work, lol. Still, we get your point!

Great podcast this week. Constructive Feedback: Dan's audio was a bit low on this one and was a bit hard to hear. Although I haven't flown the PMDG 777 yet on VATSIM, the aircraft feels so solid and they raised the bar from a usability standpoint with the EFB features, moveable EFB and the knob manipulation for some of the dimmers feels really nice. Not sure I'll be flying it much but they did an incredible job with it...maybe when they launch the freighter I'll do some of the 777 short haul routes. Would love to join a Discord to chat about all things MSFS with you guys and join some group flights you guys do on VATSIM.

This is how it is in the real 737 as well. Use feet to depress the toe brakes and then pull the parking brake lever. Standard Boeing.

The rudder pedal often don't reach 100% depress (at least that's my experience). This technique does solve that issue.

@WheelsUpLiveАй бұрын
Check your aileron axis assignment in MSFS Control Options. Without seeing any of your settings, it's very hard to diagnose a single hardware problem.

How to fix trime ?!
@abdulrahimifyАй бұрын
Look at the big handle on left of the thrust And pull it up for more elevation and down for less and read the scale on the left of the thrust read the numbers you want to set it up that you got from the fms.

The best way to adjust the trim is to use the electric trim switches on the yoke. The handles are the alternate method and not the primary means of adjusting trim.

I remember the A2A Cessna 172 for P3D. I wished they would make it again for MSFS. The closest I’ve gotten was the WBsim Cessna pay ware add-on and the Cessna 172 sounds pack in orbx for the WBsim. They compliment each other very well.
@WheelsUpLiveАй бұрын
I'm sure we'll have an A2A C172 at some point in MSFS.

You guys had a very interesting idea about integrating an ATC program into VATSIM for uncontrolled areas which could financially support VATSIM and the 3rd party ATC Provider. A possible model for this would be VATSIM for free, and a paid upgraded version VATSIM+ that gives you the ability to receive ATC from a program like BeyondATC when there is no live controller online and it could be a subscription of something like $4.99 a month or whatever the market will bear. This would allow you to stay on the network and fly with other pilots and have ATC the entire way and also solve a big financial challenge for VATSIM.

From what I heard (at least the 757 and 767) FF mostly uses design drawings from Boeing, most of which are dimensionally correct but not proportionally correct. Most drawings for engineering purposes are done isometrically. Objects further away from the viewpoint are larger than they would appear because the vanishing point of each dimension is nonexistant in Isometric view, hence why in terms of perspective (what your eye actually sees) a lot of FF models look funny....

I know MSFS has the biggest community but you guys haven‘t talked one sec about the FF777v2. It could be such a good comparisson debate between both products. Or is this just a MSFS pod/videocast??
@WheelsUpLive3 ай бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. This is not an MSFS-only podcast/videocast. In fact in this past week, we did reference the FF777v2. My issue is that a., going off of what FF has done in the past, I'm not really too keen on this offering and b. who knows when we'll be able to do a head-to-head comparison. Hopefully we can get Jos back on and he can certainly help with any comparisons as he has over 9000hrs in the real world aircraft.
@the_listamin4 ай бұрын
Could it be that Jos keeps mixing up English numbers? He says he started "nineteen fifty eight" as an FE and "nineteen sixty nine" as a Pilot, but means 1985 and 1996?

Yes, this is what he meant.
