In 2014, I also took a night ride on one of these boats and beyond the nice sighting, I remind of the windy and the bit cold feeling while on the outside of the boat. And to (re)get a little warm, went to inside the boat cabin to return to the outside a bit later 😃

@liuyizhi71 Thanks for your comment. In July it is warm enough to stay outside for the entire cruise.

Liu Wujun, born in 1963, is a member of the Hubei Public Security Bureau and holds a doctorate in engineering. He has participated in the scientific research, design and construction of the first, second and third phase projects of Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the expansion of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, the Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hub and the Shanghai Maglev Train. He has won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Achievement Award for Returned Overseas Students, etc. Led the team to independently develop commercial maglev track beams. The maglev transportation system consists of vehicles, control, drive and track systems. The track system is a difficult point in technical research. High-speed maglev trains have extremely high requirements on track beams, and the allowable error of the beam body must be controlled within 2 mm. This high-precision requirement could only be achieved by track steel beams produced abroad at the time, but the cost was too high and was not conducive to commercial application. After 22 months of technical research, they used the idea of prestressed concrete track beams to comprehensively overcome the design and production problems of maglev track beams and produce commercial maglev track beams that meet technical requirements. After that, more than 2,500 girders were built and installed, and the maglev track system was domestically produced. Liu Wujun still clearly remembers the feeling when he rode the maglev train for the first time: "The speed reached 450 kilometers per hour as soon as I got up. The period when I was working on the maglev project was also the period when I obtained the most technology patents. All problems are new problems and all problems must be solved. , every time a problem is solved, a patent will be obtained.

At the beginning of 2000, when China was deciding to build the next generation of high-speed railways, there were two factions supporting maglev trains and wheeled trains, with both sides in a heated debate. China decided to construct one of each to further evaluate their performance. Ultimately, the wheeled trains won out due to their operational economy, leading to the construction of 40,000 kilometers over the subsequent decade. This maglev train is a legacy of that debate. Additionally, it should be noted that this maglev train is 100% German technology, and the wheeled high-speed trains that China subsequently introduced are also based on German technology. -Comment by a Chinese

@jlren2829 Thank you very much for this substantive comment. I didn't know about it.
@henrykum-nr7bw4 күн бұрын
@jlren2829 @In 2006 On February 15, the German newspaper Die Welt reported that an engineer from Chengdu Aircraft Industry (Group) Corporation revealed that China's self-developed maglev train will be tested in July this year, with a designed speed of 500 kilometers per hour, exceeding the speed of Germany's maglev train. This high-tech project, code-named "Dolphin", is one of the research projects supported by the state. Stoiber's words do not represent the opinion of the German government. There is no evidence that China copied Germany's maglev technology. Germany's Der Spiegel magazine believes that it is not easy to imitate maglev. Pirated imitations of auto parts and cameras may be successful, but the entire power system that relies on electromagnetic force to suspend and move forward cannot be simply imitated.

Futuristic? This MagLev were built before 2010! Too much high expectations. This one is the only commercially running magnetization train in the world. There are 100 of Chinese made EV brands in China to choose from. A few second experience to make an inform decision is beyond me. ShangHai night view is the most beautiful in the world, especially from ShangHai Tower. Hey, what do you know since you only visit in the daylight.

@tristanx3508 Thanks for your comment. I agree that Maglev is overrated. As for the night view of Shanghai. I saw it from a river cruise. I also think it is one of the most beautiful in the world. Watch in the next video episode.

The Magnetic Train is only for touring. The train was made in Germany. The highest speed is more then 410KM/hr. For saving electric power, the speed down to 300KM/HR
@tomaszp580316 күн бұрын
@rogershieh9478 .Thanks for your comment. I don't know where you got that information from. They told us it was a Chinese design. But Western technology definitely played a part. The train takes passengers from downtown Shanghai to the airport, so it's not just a tourist attraction.
@jlren282911 күн бұрын
@@tomaszp5803 As a Chinese, I want to say that they may really mistakenly think that this is a Chinese design, but this is indeed 100% German technology.

The speed was reduced not because of safety, but for reducing energy consumption (cost) point of view. Travelling time extended from 7min to 8min is not a big deal anyway.
@tomaszp580316 күн бұрын
@lishuang0314 Yes, you are absolutely right. They just keep bragging that it is the fastest maglev train in the world. They probably limited the speed a few years ago when there were no tourists in China for obvious reasons. C19. Thank you for your comment.
