@@ruizspeaces that sucks, someone on a video this week found a 77 caddie hearse in a pick your part body was complete. That's sad but things like that rarely happen good and bad because you know regular caddie doors don't fit . I hope you find a door reasonably as some people are crazy insane with parts even beat or dented parts for 1970s vehicles they seem to think they have parts for a 55-57 Chevy or 59 caddie that they don't make repro for which they make entire car bodies and just about every part needed and yet people are crazy.

Hey man i had a question. we put our overlander on our subaru branded aero bars like you have here and if we are doing the same thing i assume your mounts for the bottom of the tent attaching to the aero bars lean quite a bit. how do you feel about that/ how long have you had it like that?

I would definitely suggest new crossbars. The aeros are only rated for like 300lbs i think and the tent is 100lbs. It was fine for me alone but yeah definitely look into new ones

Just got off the phone with subaru (I have a 2014 crosstrek) is it okay that the crosstrek roof is 176 lbs? Talked to subaru but they couldn’t tell me anything that wasn’t written explicitly in the manual. The ones that come on the crosstrek are 176 I believe, but obviously I am looking crossbars for this tent, it comes next week. Our total family weight would be like 530lbs. I can’t think that stationary it can only hold that much but he couldn’t tell me the weight stationary (all of us sleeping on it).

Wynne Johnson i would go with an aftermarket cross rails. I believe rhino rack makes a set. And the thule aero extended work as well.

Wynne Johnson so 1st gen treks are a bit different i know Thule makes one you just need to look at the weight capacity of them you want something that will hold at least 600lbs tent is about 100 and 2 people 200 each is so you wont dent your roof

Fun but not smart, the suspension and wheel connections can easily break sliding into bumps like that with the wheel turned.... it puts it at the most vulnerable state..... it’s one of the reasons off road vehicles tend to crawl down paths and Baja trucks speed down them.

Bryan Bowen the 2in foam is pretty thin if you like a firm mattress than maybe! Id suggest another 2in foam topper. Wheels are method mr502

Great mod. Tape threads before painting over them. Also, you don't need to sand the entire red pin to the D-Ring because it's covered up by the D-Ring, spacers and OEM tug pin. Just sand the end opposite the threads. Some use blue Lock-Tite for the long pin.

Hello great video. I’m doing the tow hook right now. I saw it’s not fully tightened. Do you still have the tow hook? No one tried stealing it? It looks expensive so they may try. That’s my only concern. But I’m still doing it🤪. Let me know the status. Thanks

Leland Dionisio yeah its not tightened all the way but its really secure. My mother in law is the new owner of the car and it's still on there no ones tried to steal it

I'm a big dude. I'm thinking about getting this for my xtrek but between my wife and I we're close to 400lbs not including the tent weight. You think the car can handle that?

Julian P the tent till hold it. You will need a good set of cross bars. I would look into front runners flat roof rack. That will hold it. The tent is over 100lbs so you will need a rack that will hold over 500lbs

They shouldn't you trouble about the warranty except for the suspension. You are covered if the suspension didn't cause the problem.
