Fantastic series. I'd be interested to see how you would play this now. The skills I've picked up watching this playthrough have made my campaign so much more interesting.

You did not sink any Marines. You got the CVN, 2 Ticonderoga class Aegis cruisers and 2 destroyers plus their underway supply ship. Well I have to clarify. The 5 Navy ships would have had Marine detachments of various sizes with the carrier having the most. So you sunk those guys. Altogether maybe 2 companies worth.

Henry Ford's politics aside, having a bunch of undamaged Ford parts (and plants) in a city you plan to capture is a real prize. I would assume that factored into the target planning.

really enjoying this series, although i dont understand everything, but watching the previous 4 episodes so far has really got me wanting to play this game and see what i can do with the country lol looking forward to watching the rest of the series, and i'll end up buying the console version of this before too long.

There's something amusing seeing the the Soviets push almost the gates of Warsaw, while the Western Allies are celebrating their victory in the streets of Berlin. I'm just having way too much fun imagining all the ramifications of this in the Pacific Theater and Post-War.

Why would you not just play "Point Blank Directive" scenario which is air only no ground phase?
@SeriousStrategyGamer6 ай бұрын
Well I wanted to find out whether the air campaign would have a discernible impact on the ground war, especially the targeting of vehicles. A bit unfortunate that you can not look at enemy statistics post campaign, but my guess is that yes it was a large contribution (other than in real life really).

pay attention to red (bad ones) situtaions such as Doctors Strike (very bad red situation that needs to be dealt with ASAP), Hospital Overcrowding (this likely occurs with Doctors Strike as well), Uncompetitive Economy, Corporate Exodus (another very bad one as well needs to be dealt with too), looks like Spain has Rail Strike as well!!! I'm not saying red situations in the Law & Order area since it's common in Democracy games

Wait a minute, you can't move into the Baltics due to some agreements with the Soviets? I call shenanigans, if you were to push into that sector at the rate you were going, the Western Allies would have the higher negotiation power in this situation.
@SeriousStrategyGamer7 ай бұрын
Weird, isn’t it? Although I can see allies would be reluctant to push into pre war Soviet territory. Although in this timeline, frankly the Allies see so much more powerful, they would certainly take a tougher stance.
@adamtruong17597 ай бұрын
Considering how successful you've been in this campaign (basically liberating almost all of France by July 1st 1944, not to mention the gains in the Italian front), I'm honestly curious to how different the post-war situation would be considering that you probably beat the Soviets to Berlin and have gains in the Balkans.
@adamtruong17597 ай бұрын
An interesting statistic I learned a while back was that the Luftwaffe loss/damage rate was around ~54% by January of 1944-which is really bad-and by June of 1944 that rate increased to ~96.3%-which is just completely, utterly, and unfathomably, disastrous and terrible. So I'd say they're getting properly as screwed over in this game, too.
@adamtruong17597 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure the Italian campaign as whole in your game is a humiliating defeat for Germany, tbh.
@adamtruong17597 ай бұрын
First week of 1944 for the Allied air forces in England, and they've really been working double time in order to make for lost time in preparation for the Normandy landings. The Luftwaffe got completely owned by P-47s, P-38s, P-51s, Spitfires, and Mosquitos.
@adamtruong17597 ай бұрын
12:50 And this is why I have the firm belief that the fighter that contributed the most in breaking the Luftwaffe's back (at least for the USAAF) was the P-47 Thunderbolt.
@SeriousStrategyGamer7 ай бұрын
*if they do get into range...
@adamtruong17597 ай бұрын
@@SeriousStrategyGamer True, and the P-47 would probably be really good at air superiority missions at 30,000 feet.
@adamtruong17597 ай бұрын
I feel like Spitfire Mk. Vs and Mosquitos aren't an optimal choice for air superiority missions over Western Europe, especially when large amounts of Fw-190s are roaming about. Newer Spitfires, Typhoons, Merlin-equipped P-51s, P-47Ds, and P-38s seem more suited for the task at +20k feet. Also might be a good idea to have different altitudes for the fighters, too.
