He’s shooting hibrass so these rounds have extra kick to them because the semi auto shotgun needs them to cycle. Even with the extra powerful rounds I was surprised how much quieter this way. The noise is still loud but it’s a massive difference than no suppressor at all.

I had to look it up but you are exactly right, it does look like they used the Vepr12 and just renamed it to that for the game. It’s an amazing shotgun and they’ve been banned from import since 2017. My friend shooting in this video and myself both own one only mine hasn’t been fired yet.

The gun is a Marlin 1895 SBL, the caliber is 45-70 Government and I believe the ammo is Hornady 325 grain.

1850 total but out of that 1850 some didn’t have the folding stocks. From 82-89 they had the folding stocks and 90-94 they had fixed stocks. I can’t find anything online to say how many of each were imported only that 1850 total was imported.

@@takeNshots some of them came in with shorter tubes also. I’ve seen other differences in the folders like the locking lugs not being exactly the same either. We have 3 of them lol

Yes it is a very complicated gun to use. I saw someone come into the gun store saying he was thinking about trading his in because it was too hard for him to figure out. He was thinking about getting a KSG instead.

All Spas12’s came with the hook but most people remove the hooks. You simply push in and twist and the hooks pops off. This is the reason why the hooks now are so valuable is because most people lose them since they take them off.

It’s a really over complicated to use gun and absolutely would not be my first pick for any shtf scenario. In fact I think I’d literally pick anything else. Lol BUT it’s such a cool looking and icon gun which is why it’s a favorite of mine.

There is pvc pipes in the ground and 2x4 or 1x4 of wood in them you can attach the targets to. However they get shotup pretty fast so some folks bring their own wood to replace it with. I never have and have never had an issue luckily. I bring either sticker targets I can slap on an existing frame there or bring paper targets and then just staple them to the wood. I keep a stapler and staples in my range bag at all times. First time I got there I didn’t have it and had to borrow someone’s but now I always keep one. You aren’t allowed to shoot steel plates, can’t shoot tannerite and they don’t want you shooting things on the ground anymore either. Lots of people like to bring food stuff like watermelon and such to shoot but they don’t allow it anymore.

That’s the great thing about the Aug, with a push of a button the barrel pops out of the gun. You can use the stock 16” version mine has or buy the 20” barrel for it. Also since the gun is a bullpup it makes the gun much more compact and easy to move around in tight spaces over a non bullpup. Also keep in mind the military use 5.56 in their AR’s which are 14.5 inches and are good to about 100 yards. The 16” barrel is good to 150 yards.

@@takeNshots that is absaloutely true! The Aug is an awesome platform that is ridiculously simple, sadly not available in Canada. The ranges you list are absaloutely spot on for the average foot soldier these days for reliable target neutralization with the issue ammunition. I think that is one reason they have often tried, but failed, over the last thirty years to replace it with a larger cartridge. The issue there is that there is always an ongoing conflict somewhere (especially in this era) and the sheer cost of rearmament is staggering when the priority is laundering billions through nations in conflict for some reason. The Tavor shotgun is simply ridiculously innovative but again not available North of the 49th. We do, however, have access to most Kel-tec long arms and in my experience so far they are pretty good.
