Nope, i had a trigger malfunction. I got it fixed though. User error, not a trigger tech issue though.

Federal Automatch generally works best in most of my rifles. American eagle copper plated hollow points also works very well. Those are fairly inexpensive, and also work well on small game.

Good video man. You are a good person with a good rifle. Until now, what is the average accuracy in m.o.a you`ve achieved?
@lifeinlegendarymode44810 ай бұрын
I’m about two years into owning my GAP-10, and with factory Hornady match ammo, I’m seeing right around .5 moa average. That includes my human element as well. I’ve had plenty of rounds land in 1/4” groups at 100, but there’s always some in a day that fly. That said, the most impressive group I’ve had out of it was 5 rounds in a 3” group at 800.
@dannyboy480510 ай бұрын
Wow!! That´s outstanding!! The GAP-10 is already "inside the book" of the best bolt rifles, let´s say... And with the advantage of the high rate of fire. What do you think of the Seekins Precision SP-10 compared to the GAP-10? @@lifeinlegendarymode448

nice rifle! what is the weight without accessories?
@lifeinlegendarymode448 Жыл бұрын
Hey man, I actually pulled the rifle out of the box with all the kit in this video. I believe they run about 13 pounds with a 22” barrel, but it’ll vary some depending how you set it up. All of the internals are customizable, and mine certainly did not come as their base model. The apa LBG2 adds a few ounces, you could get it without a brake to save weight also, but I prefer the brake. Also the PRS gen 2 stock is hefty, so if you want a light rifle, I’d choose a different back end. All in all, match ready, this beast sits at 23.5 pounds with added weights for balance.

I like Norma .22, but it is a little pricey these days...if I was starving, had one shot to get a squirrel, I'd like Norma...the CCI standard velocity is right behind the Norma, it would fetch the squirrel, also...the Automatch is our primary plinking ammo, we put up with the hot/cold rounds inasmuch the ammo is cheap as we can find...we also have on hand Aguila, Fed Champion, Thunderbolts, Mini-mags, Stingers, Velocitors, Quiets, and a half dozen other brands...we shoot on a weekly basis, go through thousands of .22 rounds a year, and have our opinions...we tend to stash our 'better' ammo, and cheap bulk rules our range days...your mileage may vary...

Honestly, it's the favorite. I love the rifle, it's performance, and it's quality. GA Precision knocked it out of the park, and it's as accurate as any bolt gun out there. Talk about the best of both worlds.

You need to shoot prone or something bud. That v table is killing your groups
@lifeinlegendarymode4482 жыл бұрын
I've gotta be honest here too. The ammo is insanely inconsistent. I've tested it from every configuration and It's always bad. Shooting at our PRS competition, I the best group I've ever put down with that ammo is about a 1" group at 50. The big flag for inconsistency is from the elevation variation. That shows the powder charger is varying and therefore velocity. I'll get a video up soon of just shooting groups from prone for you, but if I put lapua or ely through it they stay like half inch to quarter inch.

What barrel length did you go with?
@lifeinlegendarymode4482 жыл бұрын
I’m so sorry I missed your comment. It’s a 22 inch. They recommended that because with an AR pattern build, if you go longer on a heavy contour you will sacrifice accuracy since the barrel nut will become less stable.

What test are you doing exactly?
@lifeinlegendarymode4483 жыл бұрын
My goodness, I just now am getting back to you. I was testing the difference in penetration through oobleck based on varying barrel length. So the M9 had a 5.5" barrel and the FN9C was a 3" barrel. I was surprised to find that the FN supplied more penetration than the M9 even though the shorter barrel would mean less velocity. I assumed that the higher velocity would equate to further penetration, but it meant that the bullet dumped energy at a faster rate.
