I can swear my Olivetti tape going other way round. Is it possible ?

Algunas letras no quedan bien impresas. Esto ocurre en las Olivetti. En las alemanas, todo va bien y se imprime correctamente el tipo. Esa máquina que presentas es una de las más baratitas que ofertaba y que vendía Hispano Olivetti. Lo.bueno que tiene es un diseño del ingeniero de diseño italiano, Sottsas.

I too have been the happy owner of this wonderful typewriter for a few weeks now, my SM3 model is also from 1957. I believe it is the most beautiful typewriter in my modest collection.

Hello thanks for this video. This is my first time using a typewriter: when I type, the ribbons do not seem to turn while typing… so the ink on the page is quite faint. Do you have any advice on how to fix this please? Have a nice day

This was the first typewriter I ever tried to work on. Sorry to report that it is currently still in pieces…took it too far apart. A little daunted about getting it back together and working again.

Aren’t people rough with these machines.I wouldn’t use agricultural machinery like this. Shocking. This is a Me fest of speed typing and nothing about the machine.

Did they come in black or did you repaint this? Seems they were in green and beige. If they made one in "sea foam" something, they'd be selling like made on the bay.

The main spring has far too much tension, or the tab brake isnt adjusted properly

Hm. Was considering refurbishing my platen but it sounds about the same as your platen. Probably going to leave it as is.

Even with a new platen they're loud as hell. lol.

My fat fingers get caught between the keys of these, unfortunately.

Love these machines. Not the best overall typing experience, but have a very satisfying snap and feel. My SG1 or HH are the best typing experiences I've had, but are behemoths.

I just received a Lettera 32 and when typing in the red selection, the ribbon gets loose and can pop over the carriage bolts towards the paper side. I have the nuts tightened. Ideas on what is causing this? The ribbon tension seems fine when typing with black side of the ribbon.

I love my 1960 Olympia SM4 ... mine is the same color as this one. Black paint with Brown keys. A true joy to type on.

And it stille works today ;) a computer doesn't last so long.
