lastnickeldrifter that's a fairly common problem, with many probable causes. First try cleaning the segment with white spirits, and look whether the keys might not be bent slighlty. Whatever you do, don't go flushing the segment with lubricant: it will free up the keys in the short term, but make everything worse in the long run.

yeh i don't think it's a lube problem, everything is really clean on this machine, it's in great shape, but i disturbed something on it a long time ago, and only just retrieved it from my Mother's place when she passed away.

Beautiful as always. Would you recommend it over a SM3?

Hi Ryo. I don't think that I do. The SM5 is a bit of a dressed down version of the SM3/SM4 (I also have an SM4, but haven't made a video of that one yet), and though this particular machine is the quickest of the SM's I have (perhaps because it is a bit dressed down), it somehow doesn't feel as sturdy as the others do.

Yes actually even from the video it looks somehow more "flimsy" compared to the other SM but maybe is just the color impression! Thank you! :)

@@ide5849 I've acquired this machine and having a difficult time adjusting to it. I'm sure it's my improper technique as the issue I have with it is constantly "stacking" the typebars when typing. Out of my modest collection, I have to say that I just can't seem to dial it in just yet.
