I would think it’s rare to find one walking about in the daylight like this. It is very vulnerable.

Few years ago I rescue a juvenile asian barred owlet from a village..I tried releasing into the wild but the wing feathers were trim off by the villagers . The owl spent one an a half years with me. But sadly died after having a fight with my cat. I will never forget the bonding that I had with this amazing creature

I catch these everyday. The dogs bark at them and I catch them and release them where no dogs bark. They look scarry but are harmless. The sting is compared to a bee sting and it takes a lot to make them sting. The smaller scorpions here on the other hand have a painful sting and aggressive nature.

hi, take the road route 121 out of the city heading south, the entrance to this area is on a bend at the Agricultural College (part of Chiang Mai university) about 1km before the Mae Hia fresh market.

It’s a large forest scorpion, native to Southeast Asia. I have one. Emperor scorpions are more docile and they’re from Africa. You can tell by the color of the stinger and the claws, emperor scorpions have a lighter colored stinger and more flat spaded claws.
