Cry more! 😭 Who thought they were going to the Super Bowl? Vegas had them at 6 wins. JJ was supposed to play to get experience, but he got hurt. Darnold was supposed to be a bridge QB. The Vikings are exceeding everyone’s expectations, and people still cry because they don’t win right. 😂😂

By the prevent I’m assuming that you are talking about the 3 man rushes in the waning minutes of the game. Interesting analysis but way off base, as that wasn’t the problem. The Vikings were up by 11 points with 1:56 to play, and every single person watching the game would say that the key was to keep them in front of the secondary and inbounds and run out the clock, and not to try to get the QB on the ground. That being said the Vikings kept shooting themselves in the foot with 3 plays, the fumble on the one yard line, the Bears kickoff return with 1:47 to go; and the onside kick. I do however think that they should have rushed 4 down the stretch!

Lots of mistakes in the last 2 minutes of regulation. The problem is they lack athleticism on the back end, so if they don't get pressure quickly or someone like Williams breaks contain they feast on that soft zone because Flores won't expose his DB's getting beat deep. It's why although 9-2 is terrific, you can see the ceiling. I'll take the frustrating win, but it feels like they're cheating fate.

Sam is a total pro. He's been through the wringer and has decided to just be a pro and do pro shit. No locker room histrionics, no sulking, just pumping up his team mates, working like a whipped mule and getting the job done. He's accepted that the media just don't like him for whatever reason so the fact that they ignore him is a good thing. He can just put his head down, do his job and win games.

When you only rush 3 or 4 linemen and play soft in your backfield for most of the 4th quarter, aka PREVENT DEFENSE this is always going to happen. Both offense and defense play calling was just terrible most of this game.

I will say this. The only thing the Vikings need to fix to be a real contender is to learn how to close teams out.

Today's game is a perfect example on why the Vikings will not win the Super Bowl this year. Inexcusable. Did you see the Detroit game? The game where the Lions KEPT scoring points. Inexcusable. Up by 11 under two minutes and it goes to O.T. This all started in week four when the Vikings were up 28-0 against the Packers. Instead of scoring 2-3 more touchdowns, the Vikings score three points and barely win. The Vikings have no mentality other than "Eat the Clock" which was started under the "Ca-chune" Dennis Green that hasn't gone away. Heads need to roll in Minnesota after today's game. Inexcusable. Do you really think, playing like they did today, that the Vikings can beat Detroit? It will be like the 2022 Giant playoff game come this playoff season. Inexcusable.

Darnold will do what he's always done (turn it over) from time to time. The winning formula is to get enough of a lead (KOC's job) and stop the other team (Flores' job) to give him enough room to stay aggressive without being destructive. KOC's play calling is so bewildering sometimes. I mean to me it is. To the defenses it seems to make enough sense that they can stop it.
@mrsrevan16 сағат бұрын
What are you talking about? Darnold didn't have ANY turnovers.
@tomeme29474 сағат бұрын
@@mrsrevan1 this game maybe, but the past couple of games have been rough (at one point 0/4 in the redzone). Darnold seems to be doing better now though.

Year after year? You could say decade after decade. Up 11 points with under a minute left....sounds familiar, oh yeah, the last game of the 2003 season vs the Cardinals. How? Ask Josh McCown, He was congratulating Darnold just before the FG in OT.

Love the passion man, but don’t take it personally like this, Vegas Bookies phoned in with 2 minutes to go and told KOC and crew to let the game get tight to cover the spread. On a different note, I did see a post about a Simpsons episode with a Vikings player hoisting the Lombardi Trophy while wearing the #14 jersey. If their track record on future casting holds true, the Vikings got this one already in the bag for this season.

As a titans fan this was a fun and fair rundown. As far the penalties go really only 2 stand out to me. The hit in the endzone imo was a textbox perfect hit, feet on the groud, shoulder hit to the chest after he had touched the ball. No idea what they saw there, i know they said he launched into him after the game but whayever. The brownlee PI covering JJ on the sideline looked ticky tacky but i get it, whenever its close there is a good a chance a superstar gets that call over a rookie. If that was in any other game under the same circumstances I can see it being called as well. The other PI over the middle was a good call. The Illegal formations were ticky tacky but fine, i actually wouldnt have been mad if they were calling them on our LT he looks father back to me. But whayever. By the 2nd one you have to be lined up far enough forward they cant do it again so its on us or the player. The only other call Ill mention is the horse collar on the kick return, clearly wasnt a horse collar but it looks enough like one that in full speed i get why they called it. The only reason I think titans fans are mad about this one is you guys had a dude do the exact same thing and it wasnt called. So they are mad the refs got a call right which is stupid even if it feels unfair. No idea if we win this game if they flip one or two of those calls but tbh idc really. A better draft pick and levis showing more promising stuff going forward is worth more than wins at this poing. Hf and i hope you enjoy the rest of your season, was a good game none the less.

We all want the Vikings to annihilate their opponents, but we don't even do that to poor opponents. I'm convinced O'Connell doesn't desire that at all. Darnold might, but he's not capable of it. Dan Campbell has that mentality. Jim Harbaugh has that mentality. KOC wants to finesse his way to a chess championship or something, but he's really not even that great of a schemer. The lack of in-game adjustments has convinced me of that. If the opponent makes adjustments to your plan but you can't adjust, you've been outcoached.
