I preferred Slay the Princess ending, you achieve godhood and all your "voices" with you in the end. And if something makes romance more beautiful, it is tragedy. (See Romeo and Juliet, Hunchback of the Notre Dame etc) I didn't like leaving Voice of the Hero himself all alone.

Fun fact: you can get a more soft princess if you did the loop ending the first time, then this ending the second time. If you did not do the loop ending, you will still get to save the princess in the end, but she will have a more tough and intimidating personality.

Similarly in Elden ring ranni’s ending is the best because she freed the world of the influence of the outer gods and allows people to live truly free for the first time. As part of this she also leaves the world together with you.

While I want to leave with her I felt like in the end I had to slay her, like after all those horrible deaths I knew what it was like an owed mortals their own eternity. Still defo regret that ending but it felt like the heroic thing to do I guess, especially since the hero came back to me

I actually don't like this ending. I think it's a great ending to have in in the game, and I see why people like it. but to me, this ending is a lie. We deny our true selves, and become human, which appears super romantic sure, but we are also saying to the shambling mound that her very nature is bad, and needs to change if we want to be together, at the same time denying who we are as the long quiet. Not only that but as the shambling mound is the very essence of change, existence itself will stagnate. No new life, no lessons learned, the same things forever. This ending leaves us happy, but it is the empty happyness of the "good ending" that the narrator wanted. Stuck in an empty unchanging void, happy forever. Again not dissing people who like this ending and I would like to hear if you think I'm wrong

At the end of light you see a boy lying down on the ground looking at the lightbulb another living thing with him is black cat. There are two boxes beside him, one there is light comes out from it and one has a paper in it. He stands up calling himself Omori.

@@OxoKen It's about the protagonist getting haunted from 'something' for a long time. He became a hikikomori due to a certain incident. It's up to the player to decide his fate whether he choose to tell the truth or die because he felt responsible from it. It's also an turnbased RPG game.

Such a sad ending. Refusing your roles as gods, and refusing to accept death and creation. The ultimate fence sitter ending where the shifting mound and long quiet both pretend to be humans. Forever ignoring the fate they were meant to share. It baffles me anyone could like this over the godess ending. But hey, that’s the game.

Who are they to decide when and where to destroy and create universes? To treat the mortals as playthings? I never wanted to allow the princess and the mc to make arbitrary decisions like that but I also didn’t want to remove change and death from existence. Also she’s cool. This endings gets everything I want. This is the ending for me.

"bad" ending? I think this is the best ending. I always liked the voices more than the princess anyway. The other ending is the bad one to me. Everyone dies, everyone suffers, all in the name of nothing but the sake of to suffer and die. Sure YOU get a good ending, but you're a god, everyone else dies and the voices just go away. I loved this ending. More than the others. More than any of the others.

Okay... I know I am being pissy, but the fact this ending is just called "Leave" makes it even more confusing when people look at all the ending and say "... Hmmm yep, this is a love story, this has the most love, this is the good ending". Do you know what a good ending means in a story where you are the hero? The CORRECT ending. But here is the deal: this game, in it's whole story, start, right before they say this is a love story, and at the main point ; nails to your head that a correct or wrong, good or bad ending by definition. Cannot. Exist. Slaying her, leaving with the shifting mound, leaving with the princess or looping ; these are all ending and that's all they are. So, as someone who always loops or kills her ( because the idea that the voices and you creat a new world makes my heart flutter since I love the voices 10000 % more than I love the princess) I am feeling like shit! Please tell me if I am being a ass about this.
