I did the same with Dacia (Renault) Duster SUV. Two seat rows only. Even esier and quicker than Justin did. But I have to push the driver Seattle all the way forward 😅😅

Hi. Nothing but respect for folks who are happier with cheaper or DIY options. In my case, when I bought the minivan and decided to use it for camping I put aside a budget for off-the-shelf items that would make it quick and easy to convert from everyday driver mode to a comfortable camper. I spent over 60 happy nights sleeping on the Trunk Mate last year alone. So for me it was a worthwhile purchase. Cheers and happy camping!

Toilet??

Hi DG. I get that question a lot. I mainly camp in campgrounds. Almost all campgrounds at least have a vault toilet. It's just like the many years I went tent camping. I didn't go in the tent. 😃

Any minivan? My minivan is way smaller and the trunkbed won't fit. I also can't fold away my seats that way and i have just 4.5 seats anyways, no second row. Seems i still have to build.

@Justin_Hikes Hyundai Matrix from 2003
@Justin_Hikes7 күн бұрын
@ I looked it up on Wikipedia. Looks like the Matrix is classified as a "multi purpose vehicle (MPV)" not a minivan. I don't mean to split hairs but I guess the bottom line is that vehicle is smaller than the typical minivan (at least those typically sold in the USA). I don't doubt you can camp in it but I agree it's not going to be as spacious as a typical minivan. Cheers and happy camping!
@CalmoOmlac7 күн бұрын
@Justin_Hikes I'm from Germany. Here it's a minivan. But ok, seems we have different classification then. To be able to camp, i would have to unbolt (i can't just take them out) all seats except the driver seat and build something to use every space possible. But at least i can park and drive here then. Would be a trouble with a big (for our standards) car like yours. Maybe i'll try it in summer. Cheers to you too.

Hey man! I’m from there! It’s an amazing town. I spent the first 14 years of my life there. I’m glad that you said it right as well, lol. It’s called belle Fourche (French for beautiful fork) because of the fork in the river that goes through the town. It’s strange seeing a man on the internet taking a photo on the compass I used to play on when my dad took me to the park downtown where he would point out the different flags.
